For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amβ10:30 pm. Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Los Angeles is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Iβve visited a few Hinodeya locations, and overall, I liked the Little Tokyo location more than the others Iβve tried. Compared with the San Francisco location, this one felt more polished, better organized, and stronger in terms of both atmosphere and service. The ramen was good, especially if you prefer a lighter dashi-based broth rather than a heavy tonkotsu style. The broth had a clean, balanced flavor with plenty of umami, and the overall presentation felt thoughtful. The staff also showed good attention to detail, and the restaurant had a comfortable, modern Japanese atmosphere that fit the Little Tokyo area well. One thing that did make me pause was the unusually high number of online reviews across multiple Hinodeya locations compared with similar restaurants. During my visit, I did not notice the staff actively asking guests to leave reviews, so I have no idea whether this comes from a promotion, a review campaign, or simply a very engaged customer base. I cannot verify the reason, but the volume did feel unusual enough that I would personally focus more on the actual dining experience than the overall rating. Based on my visit alone, the food, hospitality, and atmosphe

6/6/2026 Hinodeya Ramen 232 E 2nd St Ste B Los Angeles, CA 90012 We went for a Saturday lunch. It's in downtown LA in Little Tokyo with the associated parking issues. We parked in a paid structure a block away for $15. The interior is a clean modern table and counter setup. It wasn't busy and we were seated immediately. We all had the House Ramen which was brought to us shortly and consisted of nicely chewy thinner noodles in a clear dashi (bonito flavored) broth with bamboo shoots, half an egg and chashu pork. There was fried garlic and Togarishi available at the table. The ramen was good and reminds me of Hawaiian style saimin. Service was good. I prefer my broth thicker so I wouldn't repeat unless I'm in the area for something else.

We loves the idea of combo menu (don & ramen) it let us try both. However, we didn't expect the mini ramen bowl to be that small. It came with just the noodle and broth without any toppings. Imagine like a combo set with miso soup, but here with ramen mini bowl. We ended up ordering a full size ramen afterwards. Taste wise, we enjoyed the ramen. The noodles was nicely chewy just the way we like them. The broth was clean and comforting. It's a good option if you're feeling under the weather and craving something warm. All of their ramen broths are dashi-based. As for the Yu Lin Chi Don, it wasn't really impressive. It's crispy and sweet. The highlight of the meal was the fried garlic condiment they provided on the table.

A welcome addition to Little Tokyo. Their ramen noodles are unique, wavy and has a great bite and texture to it. Their variety of classic and seasonal ramens are great, perfectly seasoned and not overly rich or salty. This place stands out in a refine way. I got the Kitsune ramen (vegetarian) and it was both lightly sweet yet savory. The fried garlic topping off to the side is a great crunch! Would recommend!

Came by around dinner time and managed to get a table pretty quickly. We ordered the spicy miso and clam ramen. Both bowls were a great change of palate, especially since weβd been missing Asian food quite a bit. Iβd definitely recommend this spot if youβre looking for an authentic, comforting bowl of ramen π
