Absolute 5 Star - A+++ Experience. I recently booked a weekend hotel stay through the Chase Sapphire program. Wow, I was so impressed with the entire staff at Hotel Casa Del Mar. From Elvis at the front door, to Sara at the front desk, Jorge, our lovely waiter at the restaurant, and Gigi, the amazing nail tech at the salon, we were treated like royalty! I am a global tradeshow manager and spend a lot of time traveling through the Middle East. I typically believe that the ME has better hotel service with the exception of Hotel Casa Del Mar. I wish I had a longer stay in order to meet more of the staff - everyone was so professional, helpful, and sincere. If you have the opportunity to visit Santa Monica, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Casa Del Mar. The food was wonderful and their beds are amazing. THANK YOU Casa Del Mar for saving our weekend!! We started off our 3 night stay next door at your sister property - Shutters on the Beach (see review). Due to a lot of unfortunate circumstances, we were able to stay in one of your One Bedroom Suites and we were SO HAPPY!! This room was quiet, spacious and exactly what we were looking for. Your rooms manager was so helpful and we couldn't have been more happy and relaxed with what you provided. Housekeeping (I think her name was Maritzia) was so prideful of making sure we had everything we needed - such a nice touch. Room service always arrived quickly and the food was hot and delicious. One of the bellman said that Casa Del Mar sometimes gets overlooked - and this is my hope that it gets more stays because of this. We will definitely return and can't wait to sing your praises!!

Great property and got lots of credits and other stuff that totaled almost $1,000 for our 4 night stay. If you have a Chase card, definitely book with them as you get 2 cents per point redeeming, and has a fair price on there. Breakfast is amazing, but if you don’t have breakfast credits be ready for it to be quite expensive. Room service does have a 20% fee which they didn’t tell you about beforehand, so be aware of that. Overall, wonderful experience!

We had a great welcome at Hotel Casa del Mar - the entrance staff were all very nice and set a good first impression. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a bit of noise from outside, but not a deal breaker for us. One part that didn’t feel great was the restaurant experience. The front staff wasn’t very welcoming, and when I asked for a dessert menu, I was told it’s a dining restaurant and we’d need to order a full meal to sit there. Otherwise, we could sit in the lobby and order dessert. It came across a bit judgmental and honestly felt rude. Another thing that caught me off guard was the $60 per night resort fee. I didn’t notice it during booking and only realized it at check-in when reading through the amenities. It felt a bit hidden, and I can see how others might miss it and be surprised later. Amenities are nice overall, but many of them require going to their sister property, Shutters on the Beach (like bike rentals or weekend yoga). I personally expected more of these to be available on-site instead of having to go to another hotel. Overall, we had a good stay, but there were a few things here and there that were surprising, and the restaurant interaction defi
