I’ve been going to King’s Cross since 2018. I’m so grateful for the church’s commitment to put Christ first in all things, Pastor Obed’s faithful, expository teaching, and for the authenticity of this community. I was welcomed immediately and found a strong community that I can really do life with as we worship and build God’s kingdom together. I also met my husband here! Obed married us in 2020 and the community has supported us well during our first years of marriage. I’ve been very blessed to be a part of this church and to be on mission with them. I’m amazed at what God has done here in the past five years as so many have been turned to Christ. So many who were wounded by the church in the past have come home and found a place where they don’t need to perform or pretend. Come and see what God is doing in this community!

Attending this church has completely Changed my life. From my first day attending I was overwhelmed with the sense of welcome, family, and community. You can feel the presence of god when you walk into the room. If you are looking for a place that preaches gods word, loves well and seeks to grow your faith- this is the place for you!!!

Great new church. Casual atmosphere. Sort of a mix of Baptist and non-denominational. Lots of young adults. Pastor is a good Bible teacher that adds in humor, stories and illustrations; I enjoy him! Members worked together and gave the community a wonderful outdoor service and carnival.

King's Cross is a great church with a fantastic family feel to it. The people here really do care about one another and Pastor Obed is awesome. I appreciate that he does expository preaching as opposed to topical and has a heart for reaching the community with the Gospel of Christ. If you're looking for a church to plug into then come check it out......oh yeah, and the views of downtown San Diego and the beach and bay are not bad either. 😉

Where to begin! My husband and I moved to San Diego August of 2020. It was nerve wracking to be moving to a new place amidst COVID and the isolation that it brings. We attended King’s Cross our first weekend here and fell in love! The hospitality of this church is amazing. We instantly felt connected and a part of a community. They do a wonderful job staying on top of COVID regulations and do what they can to keep people safe. The teachings are straight from scripture and Pastor Obed always provides historical context to help the church body understand the words more deeply. We spend time during service actually reading through chapters of the Bible as a church and not just skimming through verses here and there. The messages are so rich and biblically sound. We love that Pastor Obed always emphasizes that we are “a church family on mission with Jesus!”. We truly feel like we found family here in San Diego. P.S. The views you get at this outdoor church aren’t too bad either! :-)

Kings Cross Church PB is a church that focuses on building community and connecting people. Being part of this church has given us a group of friends that have become family and fellow believers who we can ‘do life’ with outside of the weekly Sunday service. I highly recommend visiting if you are looking to get plugged into a Bible based, faith based community.

Genuine Souls. Solid Biblical Teaching. Moved to SD in Jan 2021 and started going here. I feel like I’ve found great community in this group of kind hearted people. They do a great job of respecting all State Guidelines during these times and even though everyone is socially distanced for now I’ve been able to join a Zoom group to learn more about the message from the Bible that was preached the Sunday before. Also they have a group of people that go out to the beaches each Sunday, which I’ve enjoyed. Beautiful views from the Mount Soledad Club. I recommend this church to: - Anyone new to SD - Anyone looking for community - Anyone looking to learn more about the Bible and Jesus Christ and

Finding Kings Cross church was truly a blessing. I moved to San Diego back in October 2019 and I was worried about finding a church with solid biblical teaching. Especially coming from a church like Grace Community Church. I’m excited for what the Lord has planned for Kings Cross!!
