We loved our stay at the Manchester Grand Hyatt! Basel was so kind and helpful during check-in, making us feel welcomed right away. Our room was beautiful, and the location couldn’t have been better — right along the waterfront with incredible views and easy access to the tram. It made getting to and from Snapdragon Stadium for a concert so convenient, and we loved being able to explore San Diego from such a great location. Our only complaint was the check-in and parking experience. During peak check-in and check-out times, the lobby felt crowded and a bit disorganized, with guests waiting in multiple lines for elevators, parking, and the front desk. I understand this is a massive hotel, and I think the front desk employees did a great job efficiently checking in guests despite the volume. Parking was also a downside. Self-parking is $55 per day, and valet is only slightly more. Since many valet cars are parked throughout the front entrance area, it created a less polished arrival experience and took away from the otherwise upscale feel of the hotel. I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for a conference. The hotel was easy to get to using Uber or a Taxi. The front desk was quick, friendly, and attentive. The kids quesadilla from the Market downstairs was more than enough for an adult!. The on the 3rf floor pool was calm and has a bar off to the side that offers food options as well. My drink was delicious and the bartender was great! Excellent views of the marina and highly recommend going around sunset. My room was spacious, clean, and updated. The bed is very comfortable but supportive for your back and soft enough that you melt into it after along flight. Water pressure was great in the bathroom. You really don't have to bring many toiletries as they shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion are good and have a slight fragrance. Breathtaking views of the Marina in the Bay side! It's right on the Marina Walk. Can't wait to come back with my family!

I am giving this hotel 3 stars based on the quality of the stay for the price of the room. I had to switch rooms when I first arrived. There was a leak in the bedroom that resulted in water on the floor and a stale smell. I was able to get into a new room quickly and without any trouble. I was also given a later checkout time. I loved this, however, I was paying $400 a night and felt like at this price I shouldn’t have had to deal with this issue. Another small issue is the quality of the toilet paper. For $400 a night, I expect quality toilet paper. I also have was frustrated that breakfast wasn’t included. Not only was it not included, it was incredibly expensive. The location was great. It was really close to the convention center as well as cute tourist areas! It was walking distance to everything!

My wife and I decided to take a few days to escape the Arizona heat, and the Hyatt Manchester Grand in San Diego was the perfect choice. From the moment we walked in, the property was spotless, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Everyone—from the check-in team, food servers, bell desk, valet, to Rosalba (the lovely housekeeper who took care of our room)—was incredibly welcoming and professional. The location is great, close to everything we wanted to see and do. Our room was recently remodeled, spacious, and had all the amenities we could ask for when away from home. A huge thank you to the entire staff for a memorable stay. We will definitely be coming back!
