Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Los Angeles is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

MLK Medical Center is amazing. It's a state of the art hospital with amazing staff. It's clean and comforting. If you need to come to Urgent Care, make an appointment using the LA Health App, and the best parking to easily get to Urgent Care is off WILMINGTON AND 120th, in the parking structure. If you park near the main hospital, you will have to walk a lot to get to Urgent Care. I learned this the hard way!

My wife and I had to visit the MLK Emergency Room while she was actively having a miscarriage, and it was an agonizing experience. Their policy forced us apart during one of the most frightening and devastating moments of our lives. Instead of being able to comfort each other, hold hands, and process this loss together, my wife was left entirely alone with her grief. I was forced to wait separately, completely in the dark, worrying about her physical and emotional well-being. On top of the cruel separation policy, the wait times were terrible. It took an incredibly long time for her to be seen by medical staff, and even longer for a doctor to review and deliver her test results. If you are going through a medical or emotional crisis like this, please take your loved one to a different ERβ€”one that understands the basic human need for family support. We will never return here.

Honestly it’s a hit or miss but today the outstanding care from this nurse really made me feel important and cared for. If I could choose my nurse it would always be herm! Her name is Brittani. The team she was working with in general was great to! They try and make you as comfortable as can be and attend to you right away and listen to your concerns. She took no time to put in my iv and give me the medication I needed. The doctor is also great! He had everything I needed to figure out what is going in with me done right away! He listened to everything I said and when I failed to mention some symptoms he immediately got more things to figure out what is going on with me right away I’ll add to the comment his name as soon as I get it.

I went to urgent care at MLK hospital and got treated really well. Dr. Aguilera was friendly and really nice and reassured me that my wound would close on it's own. I got a tetanus shot from nurse Pam and she did a great job. I did not even feel the shot. Amazing staff and I am happy I went to this hospital and not others in the area.

i just left mlk hospital as my brother is there. 510A. and when i tell you the care and service that he got was exemplary!! shouts out to: dr. grace dinkins,eflego/rn, laureen dozier/patient ambassador, veronica/diabetes care program,, stephanie/rn,britney/nurse asst/pcp care management, aparna/care management, and jacklyn/dietary. They were all wonderful, and gave the best personal and professional service. they all really knew they’r their stuff too!!!! a MILLION stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!! i would say the home care nurse(s) should be better. my brother waited 4 more hours after i left after 3 hours to be told (after all that time) that the nurse would call him. and this after being told that he wouldn’t get care if he didn’t see/speak to the home care nurse if he left. now THAT i didn’t like.
