Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Los Angeles is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Everybody here is like a family. It is a great church for people with kids. My kids hang out Outside of church with people they met at church. In particular, a young man named Alistair, his friends with my child, And he’s such a good role model. He taught him about biblical principles, The golden rule, And a concept called scat. Some say a church Is made by its people, If that is true, this church deserves a five

Newstory Church is truly a place where faith comes alive. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomedβ€”not just as a visitor, but as part of the family. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the people here are genuine, caring, and passionate about serving others. The worship is powerful, uplifting, and spirit-led, creating the perfect space to connect deeply with God. The messages are not only biblically grounded but also practical, relevant, and inspiring for everyday life. Each sermon feels intentional, as if it speaks directly to the challenges and victories we go through in the real world. What sets Newstory apart is its commitment to community. This isn’t just a Sunday churchβ€”it’s a place that encourages growth throughout the week. Small groups, outreach events, and service opportunities make it clear that this is a church dedicated to living out the message of Jesus in tangible ways. I also appreciate the diversity of the congregation. People from all walks of life, backgrounds, and cultures come together as one body. It’s refreshing to see such unity and authenticity in a world that often feels divided. If you’re searching for a church home, or even just curious abou

Great preaching, and great pastor. They have ways to get plugged in almost immediately and it helps people feel welcome and get to know others as soon as possible. There are many opportunities to volunteer, to fellowship, to get involved and to be part of the greater purpose of God for our lives.

My church is incredible....and every worship service is like going to a Christian rock concert. We are a family....not just people that go to the same church.

This place is amazing!!! I came across it by attending their C.R. online. Then later down the road, I saw Tom Kang one Saturday night on a documentary called β€œTestament The Story of Moses” on Netflix and recognized the name of the church. I decided to check out their service the following day and have been coming back ever since. Their youth ministry is great. My daughter loved her first time attending where they danced, sang songs, and made slime (which she absolutely went crazy for). The pastor Tom Kang is great and gets deep into the word of God. They also do a lot for the community which I love because we all know LA really needs it. The worship is wonderful, so good. God bless this beautiful community of believers.

New Story is the real deal when it comes to partnership with other ministries and serving God joyfully. The congregation and staff at New Story are incredible people who are willing to go the extra mile to help. We hosted a ministry fundraising event for Cru, a college ministry, here about a week ago. They helped coordinate the facilities, audio/visual, and everything we needed to make the event go smoothly. After the event, we needed some extra help cleaning up and getting things back to how they were. At 10:30 at night Pastor Blake was still working hard to help us out after being there for hours and then two of the young adults who had finished up a missions meeting came and helped us clean up. I felt so cared for and served. It was a sweet picture of the body of Christ coming around each other.
