San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Francisco follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I love this library, and the children’s room is wonderful. My only complaint is that the entrance is not wide enough for some strollers. My double stroller does not fit through the doorway, so whenever I visit with two small toddlers, I have to fold the stroller while also managing the children, bags, and stroller itself. It would be very helpful if the second side of the door could be opened to make the entrance more accessible for families with larger strollers.

Such a gem! After moving to the neighborhood, this was one of the first places I visited. The staff were incredibly friendly, and getting my SF Public Library card here was such a pleasant experience. The space is clean, quiet, and everyone is very respectful of each other. There’s a great selection of books and plenty of comfortable spots to read or work. I’m so happy to have this library nearby.

Asked a librarian from there to look up a book that I found in this branch, she typed something in and said nothing comes up, I tried to give her authors name but she didn’t listen, and interrupted me with β€˜we are about to be closed’ so?? What kind of answer is that? β€˜Can you look it up for me?’ (Yes or no question) β€˜we are about to be closed’ β€˜we are about to be closed’ ’we are about to be closed’ are you trying to me make me guilty or something?? very frustrating experience, i came from work tired to get a book to read while commuting, now will have to wait until next week’s Wednesday to get something. Librarians please be polite, you are not only ones who have had a long day, sometimes spending 15seconds, of your so much precious time, looking up something can make someone’s week more entertaining and meaningful. Librarians, Do better. I could have gotten something to read, now will have to watch YouTube or something. Very disheartening.
