Sal Salcedo let me down by not honoring my hair appointment- the one I had scheduled specifically two weeks before my wedding. It had been booked for months and one hour before I was due to arrive, the salon called to tell me he was running 15 min late for my 1:30 appt. Fine, I said, but also mentioned I had another wedding appt after this, but that 15 min was no problem. I arrived at 1:45. They told me I was checked in and I sat down. I then waited a full hour. During that hour, I could see Sal 20 ft away, doing other people's hair. At 2:30, I got up and asked reception if maybe we should reschedule, because now I had only 60 minutes before I had to leave and he had not so much as even seen me, let alone ask anyone to start with a wash. A couple of people spoke to me and went to Sal to get an update It turned out he was leaving for Mexico Sun night for two weeks and could only offer a window of a few hours on Sun- when I was working. So I had to leave with no haircut. They offered another hairdresser. But at almost $400 and two weeks before my wedding, how could I just say ok, sure, even though I have no idea if this person even specialized in curly hair (which was the reason I wa

Peter is one of those people who makes getting your haircut feel easy. He’s talented, but what keeps me coming back is that he actually listens and pays attention. I never feel like I’m being rushed through an appointment or pushed into something that isn’t me. Every time I leave his chair, I feel more confident and like myself, just a better version. He’s consistent, thoughtful, and genuinely cares about his clients, which is harder to find than it should be. If you’re looking for someone you can trust with your hair and enjoy spending an hour with, I highly recommend Peter.

I was blown away by my experience at Nova Arts ; the team is highly professional and skilled in their craft and they all worked together to support each other. I have never loved a fresh haircut more than the one I received yesterday. Everyone who helped me made me feel special for an afternoon; I would absolutely make time to come back to LA to get my hair done here again.
