We hired Piper&Heath for our safari in Kenya. They came highly recommended by a friend and they lived up to the rec. I would definitely recommend using them because they made our trip super easy, seamless, and we felt spoiled. They are very personable, able to answer all your questions prior to and even during the trip, if needed (even with a 12 hr time difference). Their efficiency made us feel more confident in traveling to a 3rd world country. This company is highly professional, thorough, detailed in their planning and just overall nice people. They were a pleasure to work with and we would hire them again.

Two months ago we returned from our first trip to Africa (South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe) which was organized by Piper & Heath and we are still talking about the trip (and them) on a daily basis. Contemplating a trip to Africa was daunting - all we knew was that we didn't want a pre-packaged group tour and we wanted both urban and safari experiences. I discovered them on Travel & Leisure's list of World's Best Safari Outfitters, and after combing the web sites of all the agencies listed, and reading countless reviews, we contacted them. Piper & Heath created a perfect itinerary for us - I should add that we are very experienced travelers but it was the first time we had engaged an agency for trip planning, and we could not have been more pleased. If you are thinking of traveling to Africa, contact them! We spoke with Mads (mentioned in many other reviews), shortly after which we had an itinerary that included everything we wanted. We used Piper & Heath for our first safari, which was in Botswana and Zambia. It was truly an experience that changed my outlook on the world. I selected P&H after speaking to Mads. He really listened to my preferences and had great ideas that fit our travel style. I also appreciated that he had lived in Botswana and that the company was small and focused on conservation. The camps he recommended, as well as the itinerary, were exactly what I had in mind. He made the whole process easy and was never a "salesman." They even provide the proper luggage required for the bush planes. The company communicated just the right amount prior to the trip, and then on our last day of the safari, when I reached out with an issue at a camp, Chris responded immediately to rectify the situation. With limited Wifi and being unfamiliar with the area, I felt at ease knowing P&H was responsive and reliable. I'm sure this won't be our last safari, and I will use P&H every time! Amazing service. My family recently returned from an amazing trip to Rwanda and Kenya put together by the fantastic team at Piper & Heath. They are a truly extraordinary company that knows Africa in painstaking detail (in part because the founder Chris is actually from there and in part because everyone who works there goes to Africa regularly and loves it with a genuine passion). They know all the camps and the camp managers and the best way to see the areas you are interested in. They are SUPER- responsive to the constant questions from people like me. Like others, we had a vague idea of what we wanted to do, but the team listened carefully to our likes, dislikes, interests, etc. and put together the perfect trip for us. Everything was so incredibly organized and planned out and could not have gone more smoothly. If you are thinking about a trip to Africa, call Piper & Heath!!

If you're even remotely considering a trip to Africa, don't think twice and connect with Piper & Heath. We just got back from our honeymoon in Kenya and it was absolutely the best trip of our lives — in big part due to Mads and the team at Piper & Heath. We first connected with Mads in October 2025 thinking it'd be pretty unlikely we'd be able to book the trip we had dreamed of just three months in advance. We were totally wrong! We did very little research ahead of time and were really leaning on the Piper & Heath team to guide us. Mads was incredibly helpful in gathering our interests, fielding all our questions, and designing the perfect trip for us. If I had to summarize the top 3 reasons to pick Piper & Heath it'd be 1) Incredible communication where you have zero anxiety going into the trip — this is one of those trips where you literally show up and everything is seamlessly organized 2) Their expertise is top notch — we had no idea this would be as important as it was but staying on conservancies over the national parks gave us all the amazing wildlife, incredible camps/lodges, but with much less crowds 3) You'll gain a relationship with a great company that you can trust
