The location is probably the best thing about this hostel. It’s close to Little Tokyo and the Metro station, and the restroom was kept clean. However, the room was extremely hot with no AC. When I asked for a fan, I was told the staff were using it, so I had to wait a long time before I could get one. I completely understand that the staff also need fans, especially in that heat, but it honestly made me wonder whether this place is so under-equipped that they can’t even provide a few extra fans for guests. The bigger issue for me was safety. I had a very uncomfortable experience with a roommate. We had never spoken before and our beds were far apart, but while I was packing to leave, he suddenly started yelling and cursing at me for no clear reason. When I was leaving, he stood near the door rinsing his mouth and kept staring at me for a long time, which made me feel very uneasy and confused. I spoke with a staff member about what happened, but he clearly seemed to want to avoid the issue rather than actually deal with it. That concerned me more than the incident itself. Everything was great except I only learned I needed to upload aphoto of ID and get a digital code to enter property when I arrived. I couldn't upload my photo, My battery was very low and it was very stressful. However the person who answered my phone call was super helpful and patient. If my phone battery had been dead I would have been in trouble! It would have been helpful if I'd had that information sooner, although I may have overlooked it in some way when booking online. Over all lovely experience. I will book again

If I could leave negative stars, I would. The pod space, downtown LA upon arrival is nothing like the picture. Dirty clothes,shoes, plastic bags on the floor, stale, musky air, boxes and more bags on the steps leading to the upper bunk beds, the pod I chose didn’t have a working outlet, dark and not very safe looking place and of course no refund because by the time one sees realty, it is too late to cancel and get a refund.The person welcoming everyone was pleasant and helpful. I would not return or recommend.

We checked out of hotel noon we had time but no where to keep some luggage this place came handy. The owner is extremely helpful friendly nice and caring. Stuff was kept safe. We don't know about accomodation because we did not stay there but place was neat clean tidy. saw some people living there it was like capsules but little more spacious. Kitchen area was tidy. Great location. As it was near little tokyo station.
