San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Was walking through San Diego downtown and found this park . Nothing much from a park perspective , but is a good area to walk around . Lots of people sitting in benches etc , and many homeless people here . It was a bit sad to see them ! Tried helping a few . It’s actually good to have a park within the city to breathe some fresh air . On a hot day it becomes difficult though. Not much shade around . Average experience overall. 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️

A beautiful and placid Sunday stroll. People watching, running, eating snacks. We love coming here to chill and enjoy sunny San Diego. Our dogs like barking at runners and bikers.

Ruocco Park Positioned between Seaport Village and Tuna Harbor, this 3.3-acre park overlooks San Diego Bay and Coronado Island. Located at the busy intersection of West Harbor Drive and the Pacific Highway, the entrance to the park is a half-acre plaza featuring the 45-foot-high sculpture, Roman de Salvo consisting of suspended eucalyptus branches which are sliced lengthwise. Named The Riparium (2012) and built to suggest a sailboat’s mast and rigging, the sculpture keeps the ground plane open and allows visitors to pass under an ever-changing web of shadows into the park beyond. Pedestrian circulation consists of a perimeter loop around a large oval lawn bordered by sweetshade and shoestring acacia trees. Other plantings include fern pines in the northwest corner and drought-tolerant, xeriscape gardens at the northern and southern borders. A separate picnic lawn is dotted with shade trees and circular concrete islands, each one containing a picnic bench. Interspersed with planting areas, stones, and benches, a paved oval plaza at the park’s western end opens on the Embarcadero.
