One of the best pizza I have ever had in San Diego. My favorite one is the saffron Persian pizza. They are super welcoming and the place is always spotless. Try it once and then you’re hooked!

Tasty Persian pizza place in Gaslamp quarter. The reason we headed there was “Saffron” in the name. There I noticed that the Persian pizza on the menu did not have any sausage or deli meat in it, instead there was only beef and saffron chicken. While I was skeptical, we ordered and when it came all the skepticism went out of the door as it was one the tasty Persian pizzas that I had in a while. The owner was also super nice and handed over his tv remote to us to watch the Argentina-Swiss world cup match. Overall I recommend Saffron Pizza. Just wait for the pizza and do not let the cosmetics to drive your decision!

I just stopped by and grabbed a Persian pizza to go, and wow… it was absolutely delicious. I’m so happy this place is open late because sometimes it’s hard to find quality food at night, and this is definitely worth the visit. I also had my little dog with me, and we ended up meeting the family that runs the restaurant. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely warm people. You can tell they really care about both their customers and the food they make, and that kind of hospitality makes a place even more special. I’ve also had their saffron chicken sandwich before, and it was fantastic—packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Everything I’ve tried so far has been fresh, flavorful, and made with care. One thing I really appreciate is how extensive their menu is. Whether you’re craving Persian specialties, pizza, sandwiches, or something different, there’s so much to choose from. I already have a list of things I want to come back and try. If you’re looking for delicious food, generous portions, friendly service, and a family-owned business that truly makes you feel welcome, I can’t recommend this place enough. I’ll definitely be back!

This little gem was not far from Balboa Park. The area looked a little run down but was safe and plenty of parking on the street available. The vegetarian pizza we ordered with extra toppings was excellent along with the Greek salad. My granddaughter said about the food "infinity of thumbs up!" Which I thought a great description. Highly recommend Saffron Pizza Kitchen!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Saffron Pizza Kitchen, and I can't stop raving about it! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The pizza was simply outstanding, perfectly crispy yet chewy crust topped with fresh ingredients. I tried the Margherita pizza, and the combination of tangy tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil was heavenly. The wings were another highlight; they were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, tossed in a delicious buffalo sauce that had just the right kick. And let’s not forget the cheesecake! It was rich and creamy, with a delightful graham cracker crust that made each bite a little slice of heaven. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive vibe of the place. Whether you're craving pizza, wings, or something sweet, Saffron Pizza Kitchen is a must-visit. I can't wait to go back and explore more of their menu!
