Wow! If you’re looking for authentic Asian ice cream flavors in San Diego, look no further! We tried Pandan, kinako, black sesame, and hojicha and loved all 4 flavors. The only other place I’ve had hojicha and kinako ice cream this good was in Japan! The ice cream has a delightful texture and bold flavor. I’ll be back because there are just too many wonderful flavors to try. Free toppings of condensed milk and sprinkles were a nice touch 😊

The split scoop is such a good deal! First time I came here, I got the hojicha and boricha - such a good combo. Obsessed. Came back a week later to get the boricha again, but this time it tasted a little sweeter and icier. Maybe it was just off that day, but I'll def still be back!

Sunday Ice Cream is hands down one of the best dessert spots in San Diego. The Korean-inspired flavors are so unique and delicious — flavors you truly can’t find anywhere else. Every scoop is packed with quality and creativity. The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the shop itself has such a fun and cozy atmosphere. Amazing service, amazing vibes, and amazing ice cream all around. Highly recommend!

Matcha and Hojicha was so insanely strong and good, i love that it doesn’t taste as milky and it has more of the matcha and hojicha taste, my kind of ice cream. Would definirely go back here again for ice cream and i love the idea of putting lactaid in a bucket for 50 cents each, it is expensive but when you’re lactose intolerant, it helps..

You can’t go wrong with anything at Sunday’s. Flavorful and unique, I loved every flavor I tried before finally (after several minutes of hard decision making) settling on the staff member’s recommendation of boricha. Even the cones here are wonderful. I forgot my Lactaid as well, but no worries! There’s a small bucket where you can get one for 50 cents, making this place the perfect Asian dessert stop.
