The FAB is one of the restaurants listed in San Jose, California. The business is registered at 110 Paseo de San Antonio, San Jose, CA 95112; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as brunch restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (408) 320-4121. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, thefabsj.com.
Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 233 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
San Jose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in San Jose peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

A few of us stopped in for dinner after the Adaptive CrossFit Games. It was toward the end of the evening, so the Fab was pretty much empty aside from another group. I ordered the qeusaberria tacos & an horchata. The horchata was phenomenal! The tacos were solid; there was too much cheese for my preference, but nothing was bad about them. The queso & chips was more or less a small skillet of melted cheese with some jalapeños & ground meat.

Avoid this place. By far the worst service I’ve experienced. I ordered a simple burrito — eggs, cheese, potatoes, avocado — plus a glass of water. The water never came. The burrito took a full 40 minutes, and only showed up after I had to personally track down the manager (the one person there who actually seemed to care). When it arrived, it wasn’t even what I ordered — just eggs, missing half the ingredients. I told the waitress, and instead of fixing it, she was outright rude. We left hungry and frustrated. The restaurant was nearly empty the entire time, so there’s no excuse for service this bad. Don’t waste your time here.

I initially couldn’t decide between the mango habanero aguachile and the quesabirria tacos. Then Carmen told me I could get both, but just do one taco, and I said yes so fast it was basically a reflex. She asked if I like spicy, and y’all. She meant spicy. That mango habanero aguachile will have you breathing like a dragon, but somehow you’ll keep going back for more because it tastes that good. It’s the kind of heat that humbles you, but in a way you weirdly thank it for afterward. I’ve included a photo of my lips in the review for reference… and I might just need to get a custom lipstick made to recreate that stunning shade… I’ll call it “FAB”. Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not a large woman. I’m 5’10” and about 135 lbs, and I still couldn’t stop myself from ordering another quesabirria taco. I also finished about 90% of the aguachile, which was already a very generous serving on its own. Carmen was absolutely amazing, warm, personable, and clearly knows what she’s doing. The flavors she creates for the bar are top notch too, especially the mangonada mix she makes herself. So good. I probably won’t be able to fit into the slacks I brought with me tomorrow, but honestly, my onl

Straightforward comfort style deli, bar food. Tastes are good, but nothing remarkable. Staff are friendly. We had the carnitas tacos and a pastrami sandwich.

DON’T COME HERE. Friend and I came here for lunch and waited 40 MINUTES for a single avocado toast. The $15 avocado toast barely had any avocado (see picture), and the chips were straight from a bag. The cheese looked as if they took it straight out of the packaging and dumped it on there cold. Eat somewhere else!
