For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 10:30 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach The Kebab Shop at (323) 488-8818; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is thekebabshop.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 402 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded mediterranean & middle eastern in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Los Angeles follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

One of my favorite spots to grab a quick meal. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently good. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and service is always fast. I also love all the sauce options and the healthier menu choices. Portions are generous too—I usually end up with leftovers for later. Definitely a place I keep coming back to!

Went here after a hike and the food was great, I ordered the a Grilled Chicken Plate with Saffron rice and a Caesar salad. Very filling! I was deliberating between which feta to order--the cilantro jalapeño or the fire feta. Chris, who took my order, offered to give me a sample of both! A pleasant surprise! Honestly could've gotten both because they both were super flavorful. I'm into spice so I opted for the fire feta. Jay was the one who delivered our orders to the table, super friendly; and when I went to request lids for to-go boxes, it was nice to know he remembered what kind of order me and my party got to give us the appropriate lids. The food and space were great but the attentiveness of the staff were what made it top tier!

Good food at the kabob shop with lots of options. The plate options were deceiving. It lists a Greek salad plate with two sides and protein. My protein was chicken shwarma, sides were falafel and rice. I did realize that the salad was already a choice and you only actually get one side. Deceiving but confusing. Yummy food although check was more like cut up chicken rather than shawarma still yummy. Appreciate the fountain drinks and food was fresh.

Came here for lunch and got a Togo plate. Opened it at home and this is what I received! 4 pieces of 1” chicken and 1 1/2” piece! This is not a $20 chicken saffron plate! I wasn’t even full after this meal and I’m a 120 pound girl who doesn’t eat alot. So many other options in LA that provide a decent portion size of protein for less in cost! Skip this place. I called and left a message since they don’t pick up. Haven’t received a call back. I also left them a feedback through the website and no one reached out.

The Kabab Shop Atwater it is a great concept. I don’t understand the name, but I really love, suppprt and understand the cuisine. The food is outstanding. The food is made fresh by kind people who are not afraid of all your little adjustments. You might need to make your Shawarma just right thank you for what you do. I hope the space multiplies across this country as we deserve, clean, eating on a level, but only newer Mediterranean places like this can provide.
