Long story short: The Liberties DTLA has the best Guinness in Los Angeles. I've been to Griffins of Kinsale in Pasadena, the Auld Fella in Culver City -- nothing comes close to what you can get at the Liberties. Excellent presentation (great head/ dome), classic Guinness glasses, and rich, clean taste. The food and vibes are fantastic as well, with a big open floor plan and wide windows that let in the sun, ample seating for sports watching, and lots of big-screen TVs. It's a sophisticated mix of an authentic Dublin pub (they even have a "snug," as seen in traditional Irish bars, a cozy alcove with comfortable seating) and a lively American sports bar. A great place to go for celebrations, big sports events, or just knocking down a few Guinnesses at happy hour. The staff members are always friendly and make the time to introduce themselves. If you're looking for Guinness, or a fun Irish bar, the Liberties DTLA is the place to be. Nowhere else comes close.

I went for my third time, and I met Natalia for the first time not only did she make my experience so much fun. I will definitely be coming back and I love the idea of pizza slices super convenient. Needless to say service was impeccable, and even though large crowds were coming in, I was never neglected and that is so important so I will be returning and letting everybody know about this amazing place. Thanks again to the staff!!!

This is a good spot to have a drink and watch a game. We came for happy hour and it was delicious. Customer service was great.

Cool bar with a great happy hour. Spacious and stylish interior with plenty of seating and a few booths. Also a small front patio area. TVs over the bar to watch a game. Happy hour Mon-Fri 4-7. Service was good. Friendly staff. Street meter parking but you might have to walk a block or two. It's also pretty close to the metro.

I love this place. I’ve been to LA twice in the past year and each time I’ve gone here for some great food and a magic pint of Arthur’s finest, aka Guinness. There’s a fantastic selection of Irish whiskey that will make Irish whiskey lovers smile, and reach for their wallet. The pint is close to perfect. 4.75 out of 5 on my scale with the cream sticking to the side of the glass all the way to the bottom. Food wise I LOVE a great Lamb Burger and the one at the Liberties ticks all the boxes. Their pizza choices run the gamut with lots of great options. I always have the Lamb Burger but I saw lots of pizza leaving the kitchen on both of my visits. And last but not least make sure you connect with Ray, the owner, he’s a top bloke, who embodies all that is great about Irish hospitality and our Cead Mile Fáilte.
