A good experience with excellent service and solid food presentation, but for the price we paid, the meal itself didnβt really blow us away. The pork chop had a great texture, the steak was a bit tough cooked to medium (but also sometimes steaks can be finicky so not necessarily the restaurantβs doing), but both were not as flavorful as we had hoped. The starters were the win here- my husband thought the flavor combinations with the brie were well done, and I appreciated the richness and surprising lightness of the French onion soup. Not a bad restaurant option overall, but we walked away feeling a bit disappointed as we were hoping for something special. When you make a reservation (which we would recommend doing), you get information on recommended streets on which to park, which is super helpful especially when youβre not familiar with the area. These streets can still be busy though, so you may have to drive a bit to find a spot.

When I tell you I LOVE THE SMOKING GOAT, I mean it. Made reservations for Motherβs Day and had the best time with my mom. All the staff was so nice and welcoming. Not to mention the atmosphere was amazing, they also gave out a rose to the mothers there. The food was so good, im impressed every time. Definitely a must try in North park and will be returning soon.

Bravo! Enjoyed an incredible meal at The Smoking Goat last night. We went during Restaurant Week and chose the three course menu with an extra item Hand-Cut Duckfat Truffle Fries. We started with the tartare which was outstanding. The second course was duck lβorange with vegetables and potatoes and it was absolutely off the charts. We finished with a crΓ¨me brΓ»lΓ©e that was perfectly done. The bartender was fantastic before we were seated, the staff was attentive throughout, and the entire place had a great vibe. One of the best meals I have had in a long time.

Our trip to San Diego had "The Smoking Goat" as our top restaurant destination and it lived up to all the positive reviews. We started off with the flavorfull octopus appetizer. My son and I had the pork dishes with vegetables and mashed potatoes, which was the perfect amount of food, even for an 18 year old teenager. We could not leave without sharing a desert, which was the Cream Brulee, and it was perfect way to end dining experience. Service was top notch from Jordan, Dylan and Alex. Looking forward to coming back again soon
