Long Beach is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Long Beach follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Back in August 2024...I was a 32-year-old without insurance, I spent almost two years in constant pain. Going to Dr. Theiny was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. She was incredibly kind, transparent, and—most importantly—honest about my symptoms. From the beginning, she made it clear that while acupuncture could help, I also needed to see a conventional doctor so we could fully understand what was going on. I saw her for about a month before I was able to get those appointments. During that time, my sessions gave me a sense of calm I hadn’t felt in a long time. I’ve always struggled to quiet my mind, but with her, it became easier to focus, breathe, and feel like I was finally taking control of my health. I even started to notice some improvement in my symptoms. She also went out of her way to help me find a free women’s clinic. That visit turned out to be very alarming. When I brought that information back to her, she immediately took it seriously. She was supportive but also very clear that I needed to continue seeking medical care. She helped me manage things in the meantime, but never once suggested replacing proper medical treatment. Looking back, I truly believe

For all my fellow perimenopause mommas out there - this is for you! I was needing help balancing my hormones, getting a handle on my hormonal headaches, my night sweats, and all the joys that come with perimenopause. I saw the reviews for fertility work that Dr. Thieny does and figured she must be able to help with hormones at this stage as well. Additionally, a dear friend highly recommended her work as well. I AM SO GRATEFUL I STARTED WORKING WITH DR. THIENY because my life has changed dramatically. I went from weeklong headaches during my cycles, to nearly none at all. Night sweats half the month, to once a month now. I feel more energetic and balanced. Dr. Thieny is a gift and she knows exactly what she is doing!! Also, her team is an absolute dream. Siena and Hailey are so thoughtful and kind - they have also helped me in so many ways. This office is so special because of the talent, care, vision and gift of Dr. Thieny and her team. My husband now also sees Dr. Thieny for vertigo issues and she has been helping him immensely as well. The cost is in packages, not individual sessions. It starts out at the level needed to address the issue at hand. For me and my husband, it has

I went to Thien Lake after trying many, many other options (over three years) to help with my chronic back pain/bulging disc: physical therapy, medical massage, multiple epidural shots, chornic pain clinic, oral pain meds, etc.. Nothing had really helped and I was desperate. After seeing Dr. Thieny for about 6 months, I wouldn't say that my pain is 100% gone -- but it is 90% gone (which is AMAZING) and when it flares and the pain gets bad I know that I have somewhere to go to immediately help with the pain. I have tried acupuncture before and my experience at Thien Lake is completely different: I look forward to my acupuncture sessions (I leave feeling calmer, more rested, and in waaaaay less pain) and Dr. Thieny has helped with other health issues as they arise (chronic sinus congestion, digestion issues, etc.). I feel extremely lucky to have found Dr. Thieny!!!!

The acupuncture treatment with dry needling, massage, and red light therapy has been effective on my back pain. Dr. Thien and staff members are all very caring, pleasant to work with and communicate goals, care plan, and concerns clearly. Billing, email communications, scheduling and rescheduling are seamless. I felt fully supported from the first consult. Highly recommended not just for acute injuries, but for a wholistic, body-mind apprach.

I met Thieny in Oakland few years ago before she moved to Long Beach. She became my acupuncturist for a couple of years. Thieny is not an ordinary acupuncturist, beyond her needles, she is a Healer. As she scans your body with her hands she applies the needles where your body needs it. The treatment is initially tailored through a thorough conversation so she can meet all your needs. I HIGHLY recommend her, her human kindness and deep knowledge of Chinese medicine make her stand out.
