I had an amazing session today with Dr. Erika Shaw at Urban Salt Acupuncture in Long Beach. From the moment I walked in, her warm and welcoming personality made the whole experience relaxing and comfortable. She has a great touch—her massage work was firm and intentional, and the acupuncture itself was deep and incredibly effective. You can tell she really knows what she’s doing and takes the time to work into the areas that actually need attention rather than just going through the motions. I left feeling noticeably looser, more balanced, and deeply relaxed. Update: again, Dr. Erika is amazing. My everything feels better. She's so accommodating to my various requests. I truly appreciate her care. Okay at first I was like, why is my sister sending me to this creepy old hotel to get acupuncture? But here I am, week 3, and it's making a noticeable difference. It's amazing. Dr. Erika is so nice and her energy is just so refreshing. Urban salt making this awesome wellness available to everyone is fantastic. My experience, coming in postpartum and perimenopausal with all the symptoms from hot flashes, to rage, to lower back pain and upper back pain, and headaches / migraines. Literally everything is getting better. It takes work - exercise, stretching, muscle building, but the acupuncture is making a noticeable difference and I truly appreciate the care Urban Salt and Dr. Erika provide. Today I asked Dr. Erika about acupuncture in the glutes and Oooo let me tell you, my lower back is feeling so great!!

Urban Salt was amazing! Location is easy to get to, lots of parking. Beyond that, the space feels warm and welcoming. The treatment areas are semiprivate, but I felt completely at ease in the space I was in, couldn’t see anybody else, and it *felt* very private (and calming!) in the treatment area. My session with Dr Erika Shaw was fantastic! She listened to everything I had to say, eased my worries about any possible issues, and I honestly felt better as soon as I got off the table! I will definitely be coming back. Pricing is really clear on the website, there were no surprises. 10/10!!
