This store has unfortunately been declining over the past year. The overall cleanliness has noticeably deteriorated, the product selection seems more limited than it used to be, and there are even water stains and damaged ceiling tiles throughout parts of the store. My latest experience was the final straw. I purchased what was labeled and priced as a whole chicken, only to discover when I got home that it was actually half a chicken. I called the store and was told to come back for an exchange. When I mentioned that I had purchased the last chicken available, I was assured they had more in stock. Since I live only a couple of minutes away, I immediately returned. Upon arrival, I was told they actually didn’t have any more chickens. I then requested a refund since I had been sold half a chicken while being charged for a whole one. Instead of resolving the issue, staff weighed the chicken and insisted the price was correct. I’m sorry, but since when is half a rotisserie chicken worth $10? Mistakes happen, but what was most disappointing was the lack of accountability. Aside from the occasional milk run, I’ll be taking my grocery shopping to other stores in the area going forward

This Zanottos is by far the best. They always have everything in stock everyone is so nice. best part the sandwich counter very fast and the sandwich is to perfection. store is very clean. Just overall the best in the bay area..

I wanted to give this store a five as I am Italian and I love their specialty Italian goods but each time I’ve been there over ten times the younger check out staff were super rude. No greeting annoyed or talking to each other and then the required have a nice day while looking at their phones. A few times I’ve had to ask a question and it’s been a dead I don’t know. Other departments are super friendly and helpful. Deli food is always fresh and delicious and the bakery is amazing.

I was never here before and I thought it to be a very nice visit. The store is well-maintained and clean. Although the salad bar amazingly unattended by a dedicated employee during peak times. I would gladly return here.

Stopped here today for their fresh made sandwiches which they will gladly heat for you. Tried the Chicken Pesto and Turkey Bri on French baguette with some chips. The prices are also very reasonable considering the fresh ingredients. I saw some fire fighters all lined up for sandwiches which is the best endorsement from the local community. Will be making weekly trips here for lunch on the go.
