We ordered a mixed shawarma plate and a half/half borak side to go. The food took about 20 mins and we were on our way. We were blown away by the quality and quantity of the food. It smelled good, tasted good and felt good. Highly recommend! We are already thinking about coming back to try one of the pizzas.

Great spot by the ocean with very yummy middle eastern food 😋 I tried thier lentil soup with freshly baked spinach and cheese buruks. We also tried thier Kunafa and Turkish coffee. The food is fantastic and super yummy. NOW for the service; they never check on you once food is ordered. We specifically asked for everything to come out at once. And she repeated the phrase. Yet, the soup came first then buruk then coffee and after a while the kunafa. Now my friend ordered the kenafa and coffee while I ordered the savory stuff. He had to watch me eat and vise versa and finishing the coffee before the kunafa was a bummer. Once the chaque was ready, I took cash and the waitress abruptly said "I HAVE NO CHANGE" and i was like chill, i don't want change back. Great restaurant for food but expect a substandard service.

Great service. Friendly, attentive servers. Food came out fast. Portion sizes were great. However some of the dishes lacked flavor. Others like chicken shawarma had a very strong taste. Kefta was overcooked. Lamb kabobs were really good.

Zytoun was a fantastic Mediterranean spot. The food came out faster than expected but still felt fresh and high quality. The fries were crispy and really addictive. The falafel was moist on the inside with great flavor. The chicken tikka was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The cheese bocas were also really good and a nice surprise. Overall, quick service, solid flavors, and very consistent. Definitely a place I would go back to.

Zytoun Gourmet Mediterranean Seaport Village San Diego, California During a visit to Seaport Village in San Diego, we came across Zytoun Gourmet Mediterranean, a new addition to the area’s dining options. After reviewing the menu, we decided to stop in, particularly interested in trying their Mediterranean‑style pizza. We chose to sit indoors, though the restaurant also offers an outdoor dining area. The interior is tastefully decorated and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. Service was excellent from the start. Our server was friendly, attentive, and well‑informed about the menu. She answered our questions with ease and made the experience feel welcoming and relaxed. We ordered several appetizers to begin. The hummus, served with warm, soft pita, was outstanding—light, smooth, and creamy. The falafel was equally impressive, with a crisp exterior, a moist interior, and well‑balanced seasoning. Having dined at many Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurants throughout San Diego County, we found their falafel to be among the best we’ve had locally.
