Really freaking delicious food! I highly recommend the Butter Chicken, Dahi Puri, Daal Makani, and the Achari Chicken Tikka. The chicken was especially impressive! So tender, flavorful, and juicy. Portion sizes were decent and easily shareable! No notes or complaints. I enjoyed everything! My biggest gripe was the inside of restaurant... it was so warm inside. It had to be like 80°F minimum and the floors were kind of sticky... Maybe I'll come here and get takeout in the future! But the dahi puri should definitely be eaten there and ASAP.

Absolutely loved our experience at Atulya Bharat! The food was bursting with authentic North Indian flavors and tasted just like a home-cooked meal. Every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The chaat and starters were especially impressive, and the curries were rich and comforting without being overly heavy. If you're looking for authentic north indian food in San Jose, Atulya Bharat is definitely worth a visit. We will be coming back soon to try more items from the menu. Highly recommended!

This was one of the most terrible dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The price to quantity ratio is questionable. The service and attitude of the staff is unacceptable too. The methi malai chicken kabab was too salty, and when I complained about it, the staff made a face and brought back 4 pieces of salty chicken again. The “chicken lababdar”curry was too less in quantity and tasted average, mostly bony pieces. We won’t be back again. I request the owner to look into this and make changes. If I could, I’d like to give zero stars. Clarification: My complaint about the chicken curry is separate. I ordered the “Chicken Lababdar”, the bony and less quantity refers to that dish. The kababs were a separate disappointment.

This review is based on two separate visits and across both trips we made it a point to explore the menu thoroughly by ordering a wide variety of dishes. Atulya Bharat delivers consistency, depth of flavor, and a truly refined North Indian experience.Beyond phenomenal and every single bite screams authenticity. Parking is usually easy to find as its located in a strip mall type location with ample parking spaces. We ordered Tawa Masala Chicken, Afghani Soya Chaap, Achari Chicken Tikka, Handi Chicken, Palak Paneer, Bhuna Gosht some Rumali Rotis and Kulchas. The spice balance is spot on, bold yet never overpowering. Each dish stands on its own while maintaining a cohesive flavor profile throughout the meal. Many of the preparations carry a clear Mughlai touch and finish, with slow-cooked gravies, layered aromatics, and a richness that comes from well-developed masalas rather than just heat. The Bhuna Gosht was deep, robust, and cooked just right. The Handi Chicken had a comforting, homestyle richness, while the Achari Chicken Tikka delivered that perfect tang without overwhelming the palate. The bhalla chaat was fresh, and the tamarind chutney in it was perfect, tangy and sweet. The kulcha was soft, and the gulab jamuns were delightfully spongy. The paneer was a bit on the spicier side for my taste. I liked the quirky prints on the wall,and the brightly colored chairs, they make the place feel upbeat and fun. It’s mostly self-service, though the staff kindly served us three of the dishes.
