Best thing I can say about campground is that it had a spot available when I needed it. Otherwise it was terribly cramped. Neighbors picnic table sat less than 3 feet away from our door. Other side had tents rubbing up against our small slide. Everyone was polite and well behaved but it was always busy and noisy. The facilities were nice enough but heavily used and only moderately clean at any given time. Usually a sink or toilet stopped up or a shower pan full of muck or hair. The location is good to drive to points in San Diego proper, but not much accessible by foot. Beach is obviously on bay and less than scenic. I am grateful it met our needs at the time but I was glad to pull out.

I have been coming to Campland since I was a little girl. I have my own family now and brought them to experience it for the first time. It’s like no time had passed, but everything was still in great condition, and a restaurant and cantina has been added. We all enjoyed our stay and it really is the best place to stay if you’re in an RV traveling for vacation. The beach is there if you want salt water and the pool is there if that’s what you want! The laundry facilities are so clean and well maintained. The lawns, restrooms, playground and all common areas are all in great condition. I love that there are spaces for every price point and every environment you’d want. Come visit!

Great staff! Bathrooms are always clean. The premisis is awesome, a arcade, cantina, ice cream parlor, laundromat, pools, beach, convenience store, and they even have a air station to air up your floaties. Love this place! Highly recommended. The staff was awesome, Ms. Cory, Travis and the staff at the bar are so kind and always willing to help and answer questions. Oh yeah and you can rent a boat or kayaks... Such a cool place to take the kids!

Campland on the Bay is an absolutely awesome campground and one of the best camping experiences we’ve had in San Diego. We were incredibly lucky to get a campsite right on the water, and the views were amazing from sunrise to sunset. The atmosphere is fantasticβ€”friendly, welcoming, and full of families enjoying the outdoors. There were tons of kids around having fun, which made it feel like a true family vacation destination. The beach access is excellent, making it easy to spend the day on the sand or in the water. If you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly campground with a great atmosphere, waterfront sites, plenty of activities, and a perfect San Diego location, Campland on the Bay is tough to beat.
