For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (769) 447-3333. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is currynationsd.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 632 reviews, which is a strong result for a restaurant in San Diego and suggests consistent service.
San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Extremely delicious! My family and I recently moved here and we just tried Curry Nation about a week ago and we have ordered three times since then because it is just that good. Whenever my partner and I go in to pick up the food J, the person at the front counter, has always been super friendly and accommodating. The food comes out quick, flavorful, and piping hot. I would recommend the butter chicken (spicy), tandoori (medium), mango lassi, and the garlic or garlic and cheese naan! The butter chicken is enough for two portions, comes with rice, and very filling so I always have some to save for later.

We had a great experience here! The restaurant had a lively atmosphere, and we were greeted immediately when we walked in. Even though we arrived about 50 minutes before closing, the staff was attentive and never made us feel rushed. Our server, J, really made the experience exceptional. He was friendly, answered our questions about the menu, and genuinely cared that we enjoyed our meal. He even spoke a little Spanish with us, which was a nice touch. The food was excellent. Everything tasted fresh, the curries were full of flavor, the meats were tender, and the portions were generous. I loved the seafood with Karahi curry sauce, it was different than anything I’ve had before. The prices were also very reasonable for the area. I definitely recommend the Chef’s Naan Basket. It includes a variety of naan, pairs well with multiple dishes, and was more than enough for our party of five. If you’re looking for consistently good food and genuinely welcoming service, this place is absolutely worth visiting, even if it’s a bit of a drive.

Quiet little Indian food. The lunch menu is decent. The chicken tikka masala was good, fresh. The tandoori chicken was good, didn't expect it to be chicken on the bone, but the flavor was very good. The garlic naan was fresh and very tasty. Servings were large. Service was good.

Absolutely a 5-star experience! We ordered the Butter Chicken, Paneer Butter Masala, Naan and Rice last night, and the food was incredibly flavourful. But what truly made our night was the exceptional service. We were served by a lovely waitress Sara, her hospitality was just heartwarming. She was so welcoming and even took the time to share some fascinating insights about cuisines and her personal culinary experiences with us. It felt less like dining at a restaurant and more like visiting a friend's home. It’s so rare to find such genuine, warm connection nowadays. Highly recommend this hidden gem, not just for the amazing food, but for the really helpful staff working there! Will definitely be back

Friendly staff welcomed and accommodated our large party of 9. We got a few dishes, sides, appetizer and they were all really fresh! I got the butter chicken and garlic naan. The butter chicken was more on the tomato side and similar to the tikka masala, which someone in our group also got. I typically like it on the creamier side but that’s just my preference. The garlic and cheese naan was very fresh and delicious. Good portions and great for sharing.
