For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Great spot. Amazing food. Perfect cocktails. Ambience is sexy. We were greeted by Alexander. Who was also our waiter. He was great. Treated us like we had been there a million times. Cocktails came out immediately and entrees soon after. Will definitely go again.

This place hits on all levels! Food, service and atmosphere all top notch. We were greeted warmly by all the staff and were well taken care of from beginning to end. The food is delicious. I will be craving those adobo wings for a long time! My ribeye was cooked perfectly and was super delicious. Jordan took great care of us. We will definitely be back!

We're visiting from the East Coast and we're surprised how good the food was for the price. 10/10 Recommend a little of everything on the menu, we came here twice on our week vacation, because it was that good. Chris was an amazing server. Went above and beyond. Very attentive and knew when to engage and give us space. Recommendations were specific and spot on.

I enjoy trying different steakhouses because no two restaurants prepare their steaks the same way, and the quality of the meat can vary significantly. After hearing good things about Freddy’s Chophouse, we decided to give it a try. We arrived during happy hour and were pleasantly surprised by the selection of discounted appetizers and drinks. Our server, Samantha, was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu she did an excellent job and made the experience even better. To start, we ordered the coconut shrimp, walnut salad, fresh bread, and a couple of espresso martinis. Everything was enjoyable, but one thing that stood out immediately was the restaurant itself. The atmosphere is beautiful, and for a steakhouse, the pricing is very reasonable. For our main course, I ordered the ribeye cooked medium with a loaded baked potato. The steak was cooked properly and had good flavor, although I noticed a slight lemon flavor that may not appeal to those who prefer a more traditional steak profile. The cut itself was decent, but I would describe it as more of a Choice grade steak rather than Prime, which likely helps explain the affordable pricing. The loaded baked pota

had an incredible experience at Freddy’s Chop House! The restaurant has a really nice, cool vibe and the service is top-notch. Our waitress, Sydney was a gem. She was awesome and has such a super easygoing energy that makes you feel right at home. She was also incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal, making sure we had everything we needed. The food and drinks were amazing, but the level of care from the team really stood out. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and while we were outside, the owner Alan personally stopped by to check if we were getting chilly and brought us over a heat lamp. That kind of thoughtful service is hard to find! Highly recommend this spot for great food and even better hospitality.
