San Jose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Jose is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Got excellent service from Pratigya. She was quick, friendly and easy to chat with. She helped create a good welcoming atmosphere. Our drinks were prepared tasty. But some peculiarities were a bit off, like the Manhattan had skimped on the potency. And when I ordered a highball with McDowells, I got something totally different. But Pratigya handled the glitch smoothly and comped me the mistaken drink while bringing me the one I ordered. The Sexy fries were just okay, although the paneer on them was very fresh and soft. They could use a bit more spice. The mini samosas used to be crisper but still went great with the whisky. Like the place for its atmosphere and will be back soon.

I ordered dinner from this place through Uber Eats. Based on their Uber Eats listing and Google reviews, the place looked pretty fancy, so I had fairly high expectations. I ordered a naan wrap roll that came with spicy chicken, mashed avocado, and everything wrapped inside naan bread. I would say it was okay overall. The chicken was heavily seasoned with curry-style spices, and while the wrap felt fresh and filling β€” especially since I was hungry β€” nothing really stood out in terms of flavor or quality. I also tried one of their desi-style pizzas, and that was honestly disappointing. It had a thick bread base with what tasted like a chicken vindaloo-style topping spread over it. It was heavily spicy, but beyond the heat there was very little flavor. There were random chicken pieces and a huge amount of onions, and the whole thing just felt messy and unbalanced. I genuinely could not finish the pizza. It felt more like a pile of random toppings thrown together rather than a well-made pizza. Overall, the naan wrap was decent enough, but the pizza was a major letdown for me.

I recently visited Curry Up Now with a large group of colleagues, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Managing a big group order can often lead to delays or mistakes, but the kitchen and staff handled our various food and drink orders perfectly. The food was fantasticβ€”full of flavor and served fresh. What truly set this visit apart, however, was our incredible waitress, Pratigya. During our meal, one of my colleagues became quite unwell and had a bit of an emergency. Instead of being frustrated, Pratigya jumped right in with genuine care and professionalism. She brought over lemon cubes and ice chips to help him recover, checked on him constantly, and even handled the cleanup with total grace and a positive attitude. It is rare to find someone so compassionate and composed in a stressful situation. Her exceptional service, combined with the great atmosphere and delicious food, made for a memorable night despite the hiccup. If you’re planning a group event or just looking for a great meal, I highly recommend this location. Ask for Pratigyaβ€”she is a total professional!

Modern Desi Vibes with a cool decor and design bar. The cuisine is tasty and nicely presented and with polite hostesses- it makes for a nice experience. She loved the Kachori Chaat with a chilled Beer

We ordered 2 Burritos - Goan chicken and lamb. Lamb burrito was tasty but a bit salty for my taste. Goan chicken was not that great, expected it to be spicy when we specifically asked it to. Instead Goan burrito had more flavour and spice. However the burrito quantity was very good and filling. Deconstructed samosa were not that great choice to order, there was something missing in it, especially when it was presented as a chat dish (based on the ingredients provided) The ambience is great!
