I don't often leave reviews and obviously I should have read these ones more carefully before I booked. It's a good deal but I guess you get what you pay for. The rooms are minimal, the area of town is not great, the clientele is perhaps "unsavory" (but everyone I interacted with was nice). The pet relief areas are pretty messy. There was no trash can in the room. There was an ice machine but no bucket. My breaking point was that the shower didn't work. The front desk person was kind but we never received a trash can or ice bucket and after the shower issue, I couldn't stay with all the issues.

Iβll give you a full comprehensive review of what I thought when I stayed here for a night. At first I was super skeptical because of all the past reviews left on here and I could kind-of see why theyβd say things like this. 1) When I first got to the room, they thankfully had white sheets and not the hideous pattern you see in some of the pictures. There was also a FRIDGE that worked perfectly to keep my take-out cold. 2) There is NO SHAMPOO. If you go over to the front desk to ask more soap, Michael was very helpful about it, but you will get a lot of bar soap. I could not stand showering entirely with bar soap and went over to Ralphs to get shampoo. I also BROUGHT MY OWN TOOTHBRUSH/PASTE, as expected they do not provide any. Thankfully they did have plastic cups, which I use to gargle. 3) Towels and linens were clean in my room. There were signs everywhere begging us to not dirty them because of hair dye and other things, which I found funny. 4) SAFETY: There was duck tape on the door peep-hole for my room. Not sure if this was the case for all rooms but I assumed that itβs two-way and I did not feel all the way safe. This place is also an 8 minute walk from the Old Town station

I highly recommend that you DO NOT book a stay at E-Z 8 Motel. If you are considering staying here, spend the extra money and book somewhere safer, cleaner, and more professional. This is not a place you want to stay. For Memorial Day weekend, I booked a room through Expedia. Shortly after booking, I was told that my reservation had been canceled. I attempted to contact the motel multiple times β well over 20 calls β with no answer. When I was finally able to reach someone was I was told that the reservation was actually still active. When I arrived, the property already looked poorly maintained from the outside. Unfortunately, things only got worse after we entered the room. The room appeared dirty and not properly cleaned. There were stains on the walls, including inside the restroom. The smoke detector beeped every few minutes throughout the room, making it impossible to relax. To make matters worse, the room phone was disconnected, so there was no direct way to contact the front desk. At first, I tried to overlook some of these issues and hoped it was just a minor inconvenience. However, the final straw came when I noticed small bugs in the bed shortly after settling in. Th
