⭐☆☆☆☆ I arrived at this Motel 6 at around **3:00 a.m.** after Alaska Airlines told me they had arranged a room for me during an unexpected overnight layover in San Diego. After a long and exhausting day, I discovered that **no reservation had ever been made** for me. I was left standing outside in the middle of the night with all my luggage and nowhere to stay. The area felt extremely unsafe. There were people openly using drugs and several prostitutes around the property. As a solo female traveler, I felt frightened and completely vulnerable. When I asked for help, I was told there was nothing the motel could do because there was no booking under my name. The receptionist also told me to stop complaining because other people had it worse. That was incredibly disappointing, especially given the circumstances. To be fair, the missing reservation was Alaska Airlines' fault, not the motel's. However, the overall experience at this location left me feeling unsafe, unsupported, and unwelcome. This was one of the worst travel experiences I have ever had.

This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I genuinely hope management takes this seriously because this stay was unacceptable, and I believe a partial refund is warranted. When we arrived, the room was filthy. There was feces left in the toilet from the previous guest, the floors were covered in dirt, and the overall cleanliness made us question whether the room had been cleaned at all. The air conditioner was broken, so the room was hot and humid, making it even more uncomfortable. To make matters worse, there was no smoke detector in the room, which is a serious safety concern. The customer service only added to the experience. The man working the night shift was rude and unhelpful. The outside environment also felt very unsafe. There were loud homeless individuals throughout the area, along with stray dogs. We had our dog with us but didn’t feel safe enough to even take him for a walk. Being from out of state and not knowing this area. This was not the environment we expected when booking our stay. Parking was another major issue. The rooms need makeover immediately. The service personnel were nice and friendly. Location is perfect. It’s downtown with free onsite parking. 🥳. If they renovate the rooms it could be breathtaking. Oh make sure you drink the coffee that “David” makes . It’s bold and tasty 🤗
