Be Aware! Do not give these people your business! I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was incredibly disappointing. We drove all the way from Los Angeles because we were excited to find a halal fried chicken restaurant in San Diego. Unfortunately, from the moment we walked in, the cashier had an unfriendly and disrespectful attitude. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt like we were an inconvenience. We spent over $100 on food, yet just moments after placing our order, the cashier told us we needed to leave because they were closing. Being rushed out after spending that much money is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of appreciation for customers. When I politely asked for the manager’s or owner’s name so I could address the issue, the cashier refused to provide either. There was no attempt to apologize or resolve the situation. As someone who values supporting halal businesses, this experience was extremely disappointing. Great food means very little if customers are treated poorly. Delicious, crispy fried chicken and fish at very reasonable price sold in a clean, modern setting. The chicken has a crunchy coating and the meat is marinated just right. For comparison, it’s not as salty as Popeyes’ but is more flavorful than KFC’s. They let you choose the pieces in your order, satisfying everyone’s individual taste. The $5.99 fish piece was was large, where the flesh was very moist and tender. There’s free parking behind the shop. There are front and back outdoor seats, too.

We randomly decided to try this place thinking it was just another new fried chicken spot near Hillcrest… only to find out it’s connected to the same family behind Crispy Fried Chicken in City Heights that we used to LOVE going to. The second we saw the familiar faces, we already knew we were about to be taken care of 😭❤️ Everything was incredible. The chicken was crispy, juicy, flavorful, and fried perfectly. The fries were hot and fresh, the flounder filets were HUGE and fried beautifully, and somehow even the waffles were amazing too 👀🍗🐟🧇 What really makes this place special though is the people. Every single time we’ve interacted with them, they’ve been unbelievably kind and welcoming. You can genuinely feel that family-owned love and care in both the food and the service. San Diego has a lot of fried chicken spots, but this one has soul. Definitely one of our new favorite comfort food spots in the area. We’ll absolutely keep coming back. Easy 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Got the chicken sandwich special which comes with 1 side and a drink. Lots of different sides to choose from and I got the salt and pepper fries. The original chicken sandwich was delicious! I got the original spice level which has a slight heat to it. Definitely recommend this sandwich if you like Nashville hot chicken. This is better IMO! Bread was nice and soft. Fries crispy but soft in the middle. Quick and friendly service.

This place is solid. We got the eight piece meal and loving the different options that you can choose which part of the chicken you want in your combo. The outside was crunchy and full flavor. The inside was nice and juicy. Their sides were even good. Love their mac & cheese and coleslaw.
