I’ve come here year after year. I’ve tried other steakhouses in the area however this one is still my fav! Joey was my server this trip! I think once last year too! Everyone is always awesome here. I’m always impressed with their Australian and Japanese Wagyu options, delicious cocktails, and their desserts are phenomenal!

I recently dined at Greystone Prime Steakhouse & Seafood in San Diego. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and provided great service throughout the meal. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the experience. We ordered the 48 oz Tomahawk steak, expecting it to be the highlight of the evening, but it was very disappointing. The steak had almost no flavor and seemed to be missing even basic seasoning. I found myself adding salt with nearly every bite just to give it some taste, which is not what I expected from a premium steakhouse. The mashed potatoes were excellent and one of the best parts of the meal, but they couldn't make up for how underwhelming the steak was. Overall, the service was great, but the quality and seasoning of the Tomahawk steak left a lot to be desired.

Stopped in here after reading how great their happy hour was and we just left the Padres game (where we were, surprise, losing!) and needed something to drown our misery. It was about 4pm on a Sunday and we sat outside on the patio at a 2-top table. There was no one else on the patio at this time yet. Of course, the waiter gave us the main menu and we had to ask for the happy hour menu and began ordering. We ordered: * Six (6) oysters - $9 * Truffle Mac - $12 * Signature Crab Cakes - $12 * Prime New York Steak - $21 * Bone Marrow - $28 (off regular menu) * Butterfly cocktail - $9 * San Diego Sunset - $9 The oysters were amazing, so good! The truffle mac was good too, strong truffle flavor. The menu says "crab cakes" but we only got ONE crab cake. It was outstanding, really. The NY Steak was 5oz and it was good but also very small. Came with mashed potatoes which were also very good. The bone marrow was lousy. For $28, we got two bones with hardly any marrow. The plate also came with a few crostinis (pieces of toasted bread). At Bavette's in Vegas, they have a $28 bone marrow dish that comes with 7 bones, bread, and jam...so we were extremely disappointed with t

I made reservations for my girlfriend and myself for Valentine’s Day expecting a special and memorable evening. I knew it would be busy, and we were completely understanding of that. What we did not expect was how poorly the entire experience would be handled from start to finish. We were seated within a reasonable time, and our server brought water and took our order shortly after. Unfortunately, that was the last part of the night that went smoothly. We waited about 45 minutes for our first course. When it finally arrived, it was shocking. I ordered the heart-shaped ravioli, which looked like a pile of sauce, and my girlfriend ordered the lamb chops. Both dishes were ice cold. Not slightly warm. Not room temperature. Ice cold, as if they had been sitting for quite some time. I politely brought this to our server’s attention. He apologized and offered to replace my dish. About 20 minutes later, another plate arrived. While it looked better, it was still only lukewarm. By that point we were frustrated and hungry, so we ate it anyway. NOT recommended. Try one of the higher rated places in the area instead. SERVICE: Good No complaints (*). For a mid-level restaurant would have been 5-stars. At these prices, I expect a server to know the menu in detail and execution to be very polished. That was not the case. Our server did however have a great personality and worked to ensure we had a good experience which we appreciated. The asterisk is for suspect issues with the bill: tuna tartare rung up as the $33 deconstructed Wagyu steak tartare sub tuna (almost $10 more than the menu price as I remember), asparagus rung at $19 - $2 more than on the menu. It felt like these issues were stemming from the restaurant not our server. She offered to address but it simply wasn't about the money to me. ATMOSPHERE: had a slight charm in its own way but is not modern, sophisticated, nor upscale classic. The interior is a bit worn and the bathroom actually pretty nasty, water and wet paper all over, with a decor akin to what you might expect for a public restroom not a high-end restaurant.
