I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately this experience deserves one. The food at Morton’s was outstanding, but the service completely ruined the experience. Our server, Damien, was incredibly rude and lacked even the most basic customer service skills. This wasn’t our first experience with him. The last time we visited with the same group, his attitude was so bad that before being seated we actually said, “Hopefully he won’t be rude this time.” Unfortunately, he was just as rude as before. We decided to give him one more chance, but that was clearly a mistake. For a high-end steakhouse where the bill is far from cheap, I expect to be treated with professionalism and respect. Instead, Damien was dismissive, unfriendly, and showed no tact when interacting with customers. It was honestly shocking. I still left a tip on both visits because I believe in tipping, but I can’t continue spending my money at a restaurant where I’m treated so poorly. The food is excellent, but great food cannot make up for terrible service. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. From now on, I’ll be taking my business to other steakhouses that understand what hospitality is supposed to look lik

I gave everyone 5 stars because it was truly worth every cent! At upscale restaurants, staff can sometimes overlook or ignore you depending on your appearance, but not at Morton’s! Everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we felt cared for from start to finish. The food was absolutely outstanding and delicious! My 12oz filet mignon was cooked to perfection, and I loved the chopped salad and black truffle corn — they’re my favorites! I highly recommend this place and will definitely return, even just for a special treat or when I want to enjoy a great meal!

Getting there, we thought parking would be crazy because it was in downtown. However there's a parking lot less than a block away which made it so much easier to access the restaurant. Everything was such a great experience. They asked us if we were celebrating anything then proceeded to seat us at a cute little table for two with a card congratulating us on our anniversary. For starters we shared a lobster bisque. Which by the way was to die for! We ended up going with the porterhouse steak for our table which did not disappoint. It was cooked to perfection. We decided to end the meal with the cheesecake. It was so rich and creamy. A perfect way to end things. There's not a single thing I can complain about because their service was amazing as well. I wish I could remember our server's name because he was so polite and attentive with all of his tables. I would highly recommend this place for a cute date night or if you're trying to go for a glass of wine with the girls with some food that will not disappoint.

Some dinners are just dinner. This one felt like a proper culinary event. Morton’s hosted a “Taste of Two Legends” wine dinner featuring pairings from Napa and South America, and the evening was executed beautifully from start to finish. The opening crab with grapefruit and avocado was fresh, bright, and clean — a perfect way to start the night with Sauvignon Blanc. The baked brie tart with wild thyme honey and apricot jam was rich and indulgent without being overwhelming. The herb-crusted lamb chop with cauliflower purée and cherry jus was outstanding, and the Merlot and Malbec pairing showed how well those wines can play with lamb when done right. But the highlight of the evening was the prime New York strip with duchesse potatoes and black truffle crema. While Napa Cabernet certainly showed well, the Chilean Cabernet from Maipo Valley ended up stealing the spotlight — balanced, elegant, and absolutely perfect with the steak. Dessert finished the night with salted caramel crunch cake and a beautifully sweet Muscat from Málaga. I visited Morton’s Steakhouse in San Diego on a Thursday night in September with a party of four, and it was an absolutely wonderful dining experience. We started with the French onion soup and lobster bisque, both of which were rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
