San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Such a great salon. The whole place is clean and doesn’t have an overwhelming chemical smell. The nail techs are all very kind and creative with designs. They have great attention to detail and always make my friend and I feel welcome.

I went a Sunday 1hr before close. It was my first time having extensions. The attention was really great. The technician kept asking if I was ok and if I liked it. She wanted to make sure I was happy. Then then owner or manager did the design and spent time cleaning inside the nail. We ran over their open hours and never felt rushed. I will definitely go back.

For starters, Gigi was very very lovely and super sweet and when she was doing my nails at first I could tell she knew what she was doing and the first few looked great! I would trust her with my life lol. Then she switched out with a guy who was a little more on the rougher side with handling my nails and talked very quiet (she did inform me that some family emergency happened and they were very busy.) I could also tell he was ready to go home as he kept sighing under his breath and almost seemed like he was getting annoyed with me? He painted them and I thought in the salon they looked good but when I got home and turned on the light and really looked I could tell there was still build-up underneath my nail, paint around 2 fingers not on the nail and my nails were kinda uneven stiletto shapes. On top of that, I was told that my service was $50 and asked if I could tip $15 ($65 total) but when I opened my bank account I discovered I was charged $77? I would recommend this place simply because of Gigi's amazing personality and hospitality but that's about it.

I’m very disappointed with my experience. I had builder gel extensions done after showing reference photos beforehand, which I was told were doable. However, during the appointment, the nail tech later complained that the design was too difficult and not doable. If that had been communicated upfront, I would not have proceeded. The appointment took about two hours and ran until closing. The end of the service felt rushed, with comments about wanting to go home. By the next morning, I noticed the nails were chipped. The extensions do not properly fit my natural nails, leaving my nail corners sticking out sharply. There are also uneven areas with excess gel buildup and pockets underneath that collect dirt. Additionally, there are visible bubbles in the gel/top coat that indicate improper curing and are large enough to trap debris. During the service, there were repeated comments about my design being β€œtoo intricate” and jokes about charging extra because of how β€œcomplex” it was. When I raised a concern about alignment, I was told that as a nail tech she knew best, so I trusted her judgment. The heart design was also initially drawn upside down despite the reference photo, and when I

Gigi was literally the sweetest and did such a great job with the design! She made sure all of the nails were perfect without me even asking. She is definitely the best nail tech I highly recommend going to hanny Nail and Spa! Every one of the workers is so kind and makes you feel very welcome.
