A long walk to Hertz from getting off the bus. As a Presidents Circle member, extremely disappointed to find that my car wasn't there. Just look at the picture of all the cars that weren't ready yet! Had to wait for about 30 mins before my car was ready. Only 2 service reps at the counter where there were 5 terminals. Not a pleasant experience. But the car was fine and clean.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Hertz. I have been renting vehicles and paying for rentals with this company for years without any issues. However, during my latest visit, I was treated completely differently despite following the same process and using the same services I have always used. The counter representative, Nikol, displayed a poor attitude and provided customer service that was unprofessional and unwelcoming. Instead of treating a long-time customer with respect, I felt singled out and treated unfairly without any clear explanation. Loyal customers expect consistency, professionalism, and respect. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those expectations. I hope management reviews this situation and provides additional customer service training to ensure other customers do not have a similar experience Based on this experience, I am seriously reconsidering using Hertz for future rentals

Had an incredibly smooth experience with Hertz at LAX. As a Gold member, the process was seamless and I bypassed the main counter entirely, checked the board, and went straight to the designated lot space to pick up my car. The vehicle was ok, and the car itself was spotless and drove good. Drop-off was equally fast and hassle-free. Just give yourself a little extra time for the airport shuttle ride, but overall, good service!

I chose the most expensive booking option for our anniversary trip across California and made the reservation almost two months in advance, expecting premium service and a stress free experience. Instead, upon arrival I was given a filthy vehicle covered in dirt on the outside and poorly cleaned inside. I lost nearly an hour dealing with complaints, frustration and unnecessary stress at the counter. Eventually I received a better model, but the cleanliness inside and outside was still far below acceptable standards. My wife and I even got our clothes dirty from the dust and dirt inside the car. We were told this was supposedly the last vehicle available they could offer us. To make matters worse, despite already purchasing the highest insurance coverage during booking, I later discovered I had been pushed into additional unnecessary insurance and excessive toll related charges. I have rented with National and Alamo many times before and have never experienced such high and questionable extra fees. This was extremely disappointing, especially considering the premium price I paid for what was supposed to be a special anniversary trip.

Had a really good experience with Hertz. Booked with them through a third party company called Hola Car Rentals. The overall rate was 40% cheaper than other rental places. Pick-up time was 8AM but we got there at around 10AM, picked up the car with no issues. It was clean when we got it and it drove really well. Drop-off was easier than expected, gave them the keys and there was a shuttle bus that would take you to the airport next to the drop-off point.
