Worst hospital I have ever been to. They treated my wife like shit while she was on anesthesia. They told me she got up on her own and peed but that was a lie. They forced her into the toilet and made he pee. They made fun of her while she was crying and that is unacceptable. My wife even has a swollen lip now like someone hit her. I will be looking into finding me a lawyer because this is unacceptable. It's bs that a military spouse is treated this way

I am in complete awe at the great care I received at Hillcrest Hospital. I was admitted to the hospital at Jacobβs in LaJolla due to neutropenia +fever. I am gravely disappointed with my experience at LaJolla with the operations and some of the nursing staff. The Providers, the IRR nursing staff, the triage staff, and 1 female nurse in ED are the exception as they were wonderful. Every other nurse, particularly the male nurses, were awful and unprofessional. As a sepsis cancer patient, I was ROOMed in the HALLWAY, adjacent to TWO Covid patients for 12 hours. After exhausting my patience with the charge nurse who was responsible for placing me in a room, I requested an escalation to either be roomed for my safety or transported out. I was eventually transported to Hillcrest. Hillcrestβs staff has been absolutely God sent. Every Provider, Nurse, Aide, Dietitian, Custodian, and Lab tech has been phenomenal. There are not enough words to express my gratitude and appreciation for you all at Hillcrest Hospital 10th floor! Thank you all for what you do! I will forever remember that it was you all who cared for me in my most vulnerable and critical state. May you all be blessed and acknowl

I cannot thank the doctors and staff at UCSD HIllcrest enough for saving my husband. On Sunday March 28th, my husband fell down the stairs and was injured. We went to an Urgent Care facility near our home and long story short, they diagnosed him incorrectly. Even with an xray done(not on the same day), they said all was clear and to take 3 ibuprofen every 6 hours and a lidocaine patch, even though husband said it hurt to breathe. On Wednesday night, my husband collapsed and I called 911. (Shout out to SD ambulance and fire dept for showing up within minutes and also being so kind and caring). We went to UCSD Hillcrest where they did a ton of exams on him and discovovered that he had collapsed lung, broken ribs and was bleeding right outside his lungs where the blood was crowding his lungs, which is why he couldn't breathe. They stuck a tube in his ribs to drain all the blood from that area and it stayed there for 3 days. May I say how kind and professional(and smart!!) the ER doctors(Drs. Ford, Perkins, Spense and so many more) nurses and techs in ER, 4th and 5th floor were to my husband. Thanks so much to the UCSD medical staff and the E.R. staff! 5 stars definitely deserved and m

Recently had a CT scan in the radiology department. Service was perfect from checking in, getting an IV and being scanned. Staff is very professional. Entire process was less than an hour. No after affects. Received the results on the "My Scripps" within two hours!

Native San Diegan (64 years). My body's been beaten up over the years doing action sports and career in a dangerous field. I've been hospitalized over 25 times due to accidents and various illnesses, and have been in every hospital south of hwy 56. Had UCSD operate on my back which disabled me for years. I have NEVER had such EXCELLENT healthcare provided by the staff at UCSD- BAR NONE. I never had to wait long for any request, the nurses and aids were attentive, competent, and very professional. Everyone from my surgeon to the maintenance personnel were top-notch superb. (No, I don't have any affiliation with UCSD other than patient!). Food for a hospital was surprisingly good with many options. I honestly cannot say enough positive comments to do justice to this institution. My back operation exceeded my expectations. It sounds sick, but I almost wanted to stay here because I was taken care of so well! Strongly recommend. The only complaint I have is that these quality professionals deserve a newer facility - this one is old and showing signs of wear and tear. If someone didn't like the care here, I dare them to go elsewhere and they'll appreciate UCSD in retrospect and maybe the
