My 3rd child was born here, and from the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed. The nurses were incredibly kind, helpful, and supportive throughout my labor and stay. I truly enjoyed my experience there and felt very well cared for the entire time. The staff was amazing always attentive, compassionate, and making sure both my newborn and I were comfortable and taken care of. I’m very grateful for such a positive experience.

The carelessness they have I asked for my IV to be taken out … just because I was taking the sticker off around my arm doesn’t mean ripping the tube outta my arm . Rude doctors sum . Came in for an ultrasound to see if my baby was alive and I can’t see the screen. What is this place 😒

Came in with my husband and was so impressed by the level of care. The facilities and equipment are high end and all of the nurses were so kind and thorough. He was seen fairly quickly and we were very comfortable. Appreciate the nurses and support staff very much.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the care my sister has received at Mercy Hospital San Diego. She has been on the 5th floor for several weeks following multiple leg surgeries, and the experience has been phenomenal. Every single nurse she’s encountered has shown incredible patience and genuine concern for her safety and well-being. They stay on top of her hygiene and personal care, and she even raves about the food! As a family member, I am so appreciative that whenever I call with concerns,ANY RN I have spoken to takes the time to explain everything clearly. It’s a huge relief knowing she is in such capable, compassionate hands. I cannot express enough gratitude for the care my sister has received at Mercy Hospital San Diego. As a healthcare provider with 13 years in nursing and a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2012, I was deeply disappointed with my same-day surgery experience at Scripps Mercy Hospital. From the moment I arrived, the outpatient surgical center and waiting area felt unwelcoming, outdated, and lacking even basic amenities like water, coffee, or a vending machine. It was uncomfortable for my family and far from what a patient-focused environment should be. In pre-op, my nurse Tonya was outstanding, and both Dr. Hui (surgeon) and Dr. Hany Rayan (anesthesiologist) clearly explained the procedure and post-op expectations. I informed the team of my history with post-anesthesia nausea, vomiting, and shivering. They acknowledged these concerns and said they’d take preventive steps, which I appreciated. However, post-op was traumatizing. I couldn’t thermoregulate and experienced intense sweating, dizziness, and sedation so profound that I couldn't communicate beyond one-word responses. I panicked internally, convinced my temperature was dangerously high, but I couldn't speak. I recall being covered with ice packs by my nurse, who was excellent at reading my nonverbal cues.
