Busy place with a fun atmosphere and pleasant staff. Food was very good but the Jamaica drink tasted powdery. Although crowded, service was relatively fast, our orders came out one at a time. The neighborhood might be an unpleasant surprise to tourists

The tacos were delicious, I tried chicken, beef and deer and they all had a flavourful taste though the tacos were a bit hard at times. The chips with guacamole were also great. I enjoyed a Mexican Coke which complemented the meal perfectly. Overall a good choice for quick and affordable tacos.

La Oaxaqueña has by far the best quesabirra in SF! I’ve tried them all over the Mission and always come back to theirs. The consume is perfection and the meat is so tender. I’ve also had their torta sandwiches that are also delicious and perfect if you need something to go. The tlayuda is massive and great for sharing or you can opt for the mini one which is still a generous size. Burritos here are also great, perfect ratios of meat to rice to fillings— I always get chorizo. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They also have wi-fi. There are so many options on the menu and I’ve never been let down or tried something and regretted it. My fave Mexican restaurant in SF!

Such an authentic and memorable spot! This was our first time trying Oaxacan cuisine and we were absolutely delighted ✨ the food is so fresh and flavorful that we're now planning a trip to Mexico just to eat more of it. 🇲🇽 The service was warm and attentive, and the staff recommendations were spot on. The fish tacos and Tlayudas al Pastor are absolute must-orders. If you're visiting SF and want a real, soulful Mexican dining experience, this is the place to be. We'll be back!

Super yummy and filling meal! As is typical for mission burritos, you get what could honestly be two meals for the price of one. I got the California burrito with carne asada. The tortilla was excellent. The first few bites were okay but it got better midway through as I got to the cheese and the juicier meat. Unfortunately there was very little pico and avocado, but they didn’t skimp on the meat at all so I guess it balances out. The chips and salsa were just okay. I thought I had to pay for them separately but they ended up bringing them out with my burrito anyway. The Mexican hot chocolate was a winner. Huge size in a stylish cup. Just make sure you don’t burn your tongue so you can taste the rest of your meal! :) Service was quick and easy. Pay at the counter. Credit card is fine. Music and atmosphere are great. Probably too loud if you want to have an intimate conversation but just right if you’re hoping to kick back.
