Choosing a doctor, clinic or pharmacy is about trust and convenience: check the hours, whether appointments are needed, whether the practice is in your insurance network and what a visit costs out of pocket. Urgent care centers handle minor injuries and illnesses faster and cheaper than an emergency room; for anything life-threatening, call 911. Bring your insurance card, photo ID and a list of medications.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 8:30 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (323) 685-7131. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, laveterinarycenter.com.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 696 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded veterinarians in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Los Angeles follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This clinic has gone downhill over the past few years. Appointments are hard to book, and I’ve left messages with no callback. More seriously, they run unnecessary tests to drive up the bill. On our last visit, I brought my dog in for what I knew was fleas. He gets anxious at the vet, and staff used that anxiety to justify running tests without my consent, including multiple blood panels and scans, beyond the single blood test I’d approved. They came back saying he might have cardiac issues and intestinal parasites, then ultimately concluded it was just fleas. I had to argue to get over $500 in unauthorized charges removed. My dog spent three hours in the back room and came out traumatized and dehydrated. The new front desk staff are also unprofessional and short with clients. After six years with this clinic, I’m done. Looking for a vet with better organization and people who actually care about the animals, not one that treats every visit as an upsell opportunity.

Dr. Martinez & Dr. Ramirez have been great in taking care of my dog the past two years, however this place needs better organization. I also don’t like the other vet I’ve seen here. Receptionists are some of the rudest I’ve ever experienced at a vets office too. Why am I 10 minutes early to my appointment, and still waiting 2 hours? Probably because it took 45 minutes for the vet to come into the room just to spend 5 minutes with me and tell me there’s no thermometers in the room, and so now I’m pushed to the back of the like to get a temp check on my dog even though we are now almost 2 hours past my appointment time? Then the receptionist has to nerve to tell me there’s people ahead of me who had appointments AFTER mine? 45 minutes extra to get a temp check after I’ve already been here an hour and a half?? Not worth my time here anymore. Treat your customers time with more respect and give your patients more quality care instead of backing up your schedule. It’s unacceptable.

I cannot recommend Los Angeles Veterinary Care Center, their incredible staff and Dr. Cano highly enough. I brought my cat, Joni, to them after months of struggling with a chronic illness that had not improved despite numerous veterinary visits, tests, medications, and dietary changes elsewhere. By the time I arrived, I was exhausted, worried, and feeling completely defeated. From the very first visit, Dr. Cano impressed me with her thoroughness and attention to detail. She carefully reviewed Joni's medical history, listened to my concerns, and immediately ordered a fecal test. The very next day, she personally called me with the results and took the time to explain exactly what was going on, what our options were, and what she recommended moving forward. What stood out most was how much she cared about making sure I understood the diagnosis. She didn't just prescribe a treatment and send us on our way. She explained the parasite, discussed the risks and benefits of different treatment approaches, and created a management plan tailored specifically to Joni's situation. She recommended Biome food, probiotics, fiber therapy, and hygiene protocols to reduce reinfection. She even follo

My fur baby Cleo gets treated here and Dr. V Rodriguez is the best at taking care of our little fur babies. I called for price inquiries and the receptionist today was very professional attentive and helpful. May 7th 2026. This veterinary is very far from me but worth the care. 🩷The only flaw for me is the commute. 😪

The staff was very informative and helped us sign in our first time . The doctor was nice too I felt sorry for him because my dog did get a bit aggressive but he was still bale to check on my pooch . The one that did the best was a really nice Hispanic nurse . Curly hair and glasses I think he was able to give my dog his shot . He did it quickly and gently my pooch did not cry and actually was totally calm when he came in . My dog knows good energy any who great place I was able to see one of the staff cleaning the back area with a water hose . Super fun animal pictures . Gladly I will bring my pets here
