Waited on hold for 30 minutes (after being transferred to Oncology) only to be told that the oncology team was unavailable and that I would need to call back the next day. When I asked if I could receive a convenient call back in hopes to schedule a consultation, I was told that they could take my information but could not guarantee a call back. It's strange to call and disclose the emotional shock of your your cat needing cancer treatment and then receive little consideration for the client experience, the time spent over the and the emotional energy it takes to navigate something like this. I did receive clarification through this interaction that this place is not in alignment with where I would like to take my cat for treatment. After hanging up, I called another specialty care center and scheduled an appointment within minutes. Some extra consideration for patients while navigating a sensitive and overwhelming process would prove beneficial for the MASH team and would help build trust between new clients and their operations.

This place is predatory. Please do not go here. I called them when my dog wasn’t eating and they said to bring him in that night and they could see him. I waited four hours with no communication, and they finally said they didn’t have time to see him but could watch him overnight for $5,000. I made a half dozen trips here and the urgency to see or help my dog was so much lower than the urgency to collect payments. They charged $30 more per bottle of medicine than my local vet. They charged $9,000 more for a surgery I ended up getting successfully elsewhere. I believe many of the people working here do care about animals, such as Dr. Norris, but the pricing model and policies are so predatory it’s infuriating. They will constantly tell you that it costs the same elsewhere, banking on the idea that you’re too emotionally spent to shop around, but you will find great care and more affordable prices almost anywhere else.

Harvey, my best friend of 15 years, was met with compassion, generosity, and emotional support through the last week and a half of his life. My baby was a medical mystery, but the team did everything in their power to figure out the etiology of his suffering (including recruiting opinions of multiple specialties) and ensure his comfortability through many days of poking and prodding. Prices were reasonable, but most importantly I felt a kindness and empathy that is unmatched. I cannot thank enough Dr. Tansey and Dr. Schumacher, as well as the oncology team, especially Michelle and Marcus. Thank you for easing our pain through this difficult time.

We recently had to make the awful decision to part with our sweet Tilly cat. Dr. Krebs and the MASH team were just incredible. It’s hard to deliver the kind of information we had to hear, but they were with us every step of the way with care, clarity of the issues, and possible outcomes. I have never felt in better hands. They really took the situation with the utmost care and sincerity and helped us make such an impossible call. You could tell the entire team honestly cared so much about Tilly, her quality of life, and giving her a peaceful departure surrounded by love. I couldn’t recommend this loving team more.

Can't say enough great things about this place. My husband and I came in because we had to say the hardest goodbye to our bestfriend. When someone has to make that decision you are not in the best state of mind, and that's why I am greatful to MASH West Hollywood. I felt that they were very compassionate and caring, from the person I first called on the phone to ask for some information to the nurses and doctors that attended us at the hospital. Every one of their staff exuded compassion, care, respect, understanding, and patience. Made our hardest day just a little bit better, knowing there are people that care for animals the way the staff here does. The facility was also great, we were given our own room, it was nice and clean. We were able to sit with our pupper one last time and given all the time we wanted and needed. The pricing was also reasonable. My baby's name was Sparky, a 16year old chihuahua mix. The bestest boy in the world ❤️ Our hearts are broken but I am glad we were able to give him a dignified ferwell and it was all possible because of this Hospital and I will always be greatful. Thank you again!!
