I’ve been to more than a dozen acupuncturists over the years, and this is hands down the best experience I’ve had. It’s actually the first place where I’ve been so relaxed that I fall asleep during my treatments! What really sets this practice apart is their unique approach. Before the acupuncture even begins, Daniel spends time doing acupressure, which I think is what helps my body completely unwind and prepares me for the treatment. Then MJ performs the acupuncture. Unlike other places I’ve been, the needles aren’t left in for a long time, yet I leave feeling incredibly relaxed and refreshed. Both of my visits have ended with me drifting off to sleep, which never happens for me. MJ and Daniel are both kind, compassionate, and incredibly professional. They make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in, and it’s clear they genuinely care about their patients. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in every part of the experience. I can’t recommend them highly enough. If you’ve been curious about acupuncture—or even if you’ve tried it elsewhere and weren’t impressed—this place is absolutely worth a visit.

MJ is the kindest, gentlest, and yet most effective healer I had worked with for my ankle ganglion and digestive issues—better than any doctor (3 total with Kaiser), physical therapist (3 total with Kaiser and private practitioners), chiropractor (private), or pharmaceutical intervention. I had a ganglion in my right foot for 8 months, after I had sprained it, due to lack of health insurance and delays with my care. I lived with a weird sensation like I was wearing a pad on my right foot for months. The weird nervous shooting pain would sometimes radiate into my toes. An MRI showed a ganglion about 2cm wide. The orthopedist recommended to surgery. But I only had 50% chance of the ganglion not returning. (Isn’t that just placebo?) It was going to cost me $9,000 WITH insurance. What the heck. In the 6 month waiting period for surgery, I just decided to try every other non-invasive treatment possible. I had never tried acupuncture before, because I was afraid of needles. I have a lot of physical sensitivities and skin issues due to feeling intruded-upon. Unlike acupuncture, his use of constitutional medicine (different, I learned!) is much fewer needles, it seemed. MJ is the most caring gentleman I’ve ever met. His treatments have had a complete difference on my body. Every time I pay him a visit he touches my soul!

It was a fluke that my workers comp insurance referred me to MJ acupuncture. Litterly within walking distance from my house. Simply put, going there twice a week for my knee injury has been a professional, peaceful and lovely experience. I hope to continue my treatment with them to include some of my other ailments I have. Please do not hesitate to help yourself and be treated here. You will not be sorry.

I recommend MJ Yi highly. He is a highly skilled and professional acupuncturist, yet his demeanor is friendly and approachable. He truly cares about his patients' well being. Over the past 30 years, I have had treatments from three acupuncturists, and MJ is outstanding. He has treated me for problems stemming from a car accident as well as a chronic issue. I was lucky to meet him at my chiropractor's office three years ago. When MJ moved his practice to this location, I followed him. The new office is sparkling clean and welcoming. His fees are reasonable, he often adds free services, and he accepts most insurance plans.
