They let me pet the bearded dragon which was so awesome and I was able to spend 30 minutes reading a book while I waited for my nephew to get out of school.

I' m a senior 76 years old and I borrowed one book from here. I accidentally left it in Washington State while on vacation and then on the last trip 3 mths late I found the book. I called and told them and they said they turned it over to the city treasurer for collections. They want to charge me 66.00 and interest while ruining my credit. This is for a older 10.00 book. They don't want the book at all they just want the money. Very sad since the library was my happy safe place all my life. Even the library here is just like the towing companies only interested in $$$$$$$. Lousy way to run a public library. Used to be a great thing Libraries now just another way to take our$$$$$. I' ll never go there again. Horrible place.

The Ocean Beach Branch Library is small but hosts a very nice selection of books. There are 10 or so computers available for public use with internet access. The printer is black and white. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Children have an entire section to themselves. Public restrooms are available with a strictly enforced 15 minute time limit. Hotspots. Park passes.

I visited the San Diego, Ocean Beach Branch Library in November 2019, primarily to visit the library for the sake of visiting a library, but also to print a boarding pass for a flight back to DTW. Nice and quaint library. Only thing that was kind of annoying was a surly intoxicated patron that was sitting next to me at the computers but, hey, that's life and it happens. I'd visit again!

Love this library! Always lots of computers open and the staff is very helpful I also like the community seed garden they offer!
