For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We came across this place while at Comicon and decided to have lunch here since it seemed nice and quaint. The staff were very polite, but unfortunately the food was pretty underwhelming. We ordered the Quiche Lorraine and Grilled Cheese and both were not good (This was despite the fact that we were really hungry and food tends to taste better when you've worked up an appetite). The cheese in the grilled cheese lacked taste and the balsamic glaze served on top of the quiche did not do it any favors. Overall it seems like a nice place to go for coffee or dessert but I would definitely skip it if I'm looking for a place to have lunch.

This is definitely the perfect place for you to kick off your morning. The cafe has a really great, friendly atmosphere. The breakfast sandwiches were absolutely delicious, and so was the coffee!

Parfait Paris in Gaslamp has a charming atmosphere and a solid selection of pastries and desserts. The presentation is appealing, and it’s a nice spot to stop for something sweet while walking around downtown. That said, the pastries don’t quite hit the mark if you’re expecting an authentic French experience. The textures tend to be heavier and thicker than traditional French pastries, lacking that light, delicate, buttery flakiness you’d find in a true pâtisserie. Overall, it’s enjoyable for a casual dessert.

I stumbled upon this charming little gem in Gaslamp after a long travel day from DC ✈️ and I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere is absolutely lovely—with the windows open and a fresh breeze coming through, it felt like a little slice of Paris right in the neighborhood. The staff here are the real stars. I had such a wonderful time chatting with the barista and the rest of the team. Their banter is top-notch, and they even put me on the spot by speaking French! As a French citizen who unfortunately doesn't actually speak the language (yet!), it was a fun, lighthearted moment that made the visit memorable. Now, for the food: the croissant was sublime. Truly incredible. Everything coming out of the kitchen smelled amazing, and the pastry selection looks like it belongs in a high-end boulangerie. I do have one humble plea: Please, please level up the coffee! Everything else—the service, the vibes, the pastries—is so perfect that I want the coffee to match that same elite standard. I’d love for the brews to be as bold and impressive as the staff. I’ll definitely be back for more pastries and the wonderful company. Merci de m'avoir accueillie avec de superbes plaisanteries et un excellent

We originally had our first cofree at parfait located in Coronado. We decided to swing by and try other things, overall experience was 7/10. Dessert was great, the coffee however was not as expected or at minimum as good as Coronado site. Will give a second chance in the future.
