I definitely wasn’t expecting this one. I’ve been to The Butchery a few times to pick up spices and other specialty items, but somehow I had never explored the menu until my last visit. Normally, after grabbing dessert at my favorite ice cream shop at One Paseo, I happily head back to my car. This time, though, I wandered over to the east end and ended up having a fantastic meal. The Big City Red Hot Dog was outstanding, the Steak Tip & Fries were even better, and, to top it all off, we took home a BLTC loaded with perfectly crispy bacon. Everything was flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The Butchery really has a little bit of everything. Sure, it’s not the cheapest spot around, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Great food, great products, and a great experience overall. Highly recommended.

The Butchery not only has an incredible meat/seafood department, Brendan and the team at the Butchery have gone out of their way to ensure my experience there has been nothing shy of exemplary. With calls regarding my special orders, my orders being ready when I get there, smiles complimentary with my pickups, polite greetings, immaculate packaging, and a welcoming vibe throughout the store, the Butchery is on its way to becoming a trusted source for my butchery needs. On top of reliable the Butchery ensures a person feels welcomed and valued as a client. I will be seeing them tomorrow, literally. If you are in the area and can stop in or considering tey them out, pay the Butchery a visit and see if your experience is as good as mine has been.

FABULOUS HARD TO FIND CRAFT BEER ! My wife and I have been coming here since DAY ONE. We met co-owners Robert and Brian within the first few weeks..nice guys. In the early days It was for the fabulous house made sausages, craft beer selection and the lunch menu. Of course we haven't always lived close enough to visit here regularly....the Crystal Cove location is pretty good too. After moving back to San Diego County ( La Jolla ) late last year we are here almost weekly...sometimes for a nice lunch, always to grab some great 4 packs of upscale American craft beer and some cool imported stuff. Not forgetting their Italian Mortadella with Sicilian Pistachios, Pinsa Romana Par-Baked Pizza Bases, San Daniele Prosciutto and other hard to find stuff. Thanks to Brandon and Nick who are 2 of the managers we are always taken care of perfectly. GREAT PRODUCTS GREAT SERVICE !

Have gotten the burger for six years (2020-2026) and noticed three things: fries portion halved, beef patty looks smaller, and same great taste. Overall letdown, had to get more food elsewhere.

Fresh meat and seafood. If you want to buy a variety of food ingredients, I really recommend it. The product display is so good that it can be seen at a glance, and Asian ingredients are also quite available. It's also the best place for those who are bothered to camp or barbecue. Simple vacuum packs are packed in a small amount, so they can be cooked quite practically and conveniently, so workers can use them well. There are various kinds of wine. Oil and jam types are also very luxurious to French types.
