For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is Open 24 hours. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach The Meltdown at (619) 298-7046; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is themeltdown.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating stands at 2.4 out of 5 from 13 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.
San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This sandwich hit the spot with precision. I don’t even like eggs and was supposed to take the eggs off my sandwich, but it’s so good. I left the egg on there. I’m very pleased. Will return.

I ordered late night from a delivery service and the food was amazing! The portions and prices were good

I ordered a giddy up melt (brisket) and they were clearly low on brisket, so they stuffed it with bacon instead. The sandwich was also completely cold and didn’t have the usual sauce they normally put on it. This place is very inconsistent when I order from here, and the fact that it is really Dennys is now very obvious.

Terrible terrible food. Does taste edible but its barely worth half the $18 they charge for a combo. (The Giddyup) Tiny portion of fries (unseasoned not even salt) Disgusting sandwich presentation, big hunks of meat just thrown down onto two slices of cheese. Hardly a melt, hardly worth the money. Do not order from here if you want a meal that looks even remotely like the pictures they advertise. Will not be ordering again.
