I had a great experience renting from U-Save Car & Truck Rental. The entire process was smooth and hassle-free from pickup to return. The staff was friendly, professional, and made everything easy to understand. My rental was clean, well-maintained, and exactly what I reserved. I also appreciated the quick shuttle service and how efficiently everything was handled. The pricing was competitive, and I felt like I received great value for the money. I would definitely rent from them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable rental car in San Diego.

Great value & excellent service! Yes, double shuttle is a little inconvenient but totally offset my the lower price and excellent staff. Gynja (aka Gigi) at the check in counter was incredibly polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. On the return, Daniel was truly efficient and tech savvy. It was the smoothest rental car transaction I’ve experienced. Finally, the shuttle driver (sorry, I forgot his name) was very friendly & reliable.

TLDR: Do not use this company (or green motion, same people), pay more somewhere else. It took about 30 minutes to take a shuttle to the airport rentals then you need to call u-save to get picked up, that was about 30 minutes. I reserved a rental on their website, not a third party, a few weeks prior and used my credit card on their website. When I got there they told me they needed my card again. I use tap to pay and I was on a trip so I didn't not have my physical card. Mind you, they DO accept tap to pay but the woman said because I didn't also have my physical card they needed to cancel my rental on the spot. I was with a friend, we asked if my friend could pay or register the rental in their name so they could use their physical card (this was our idea, the women provided no help at all). She said no, then we asked if I could use a photo of the card I used and show my physical DL proving that's my card, she said no then stopped talking to us. We stepped aside to figure out another option. A few minutes later another woman saw us standing there and asked if we were helped. We said yes but denied our rental. Automatic $150 cleaning fee. No matter how clean your car is. We rented the car for 6 days. The car was very old high mileage and huge scratches all over it. The entire six days we drove less than 80 miles. The car was in vallet parking in a covered garage. They still charge us under $150 for cleaning. Because there were some very tiny, food crust on the floor mat. They sent me pictures you can hardly see any dirtiness in the pictures but still they charge us $150. Could it be Zero star?! This was an unbelievable experience. My reservation was until 6:30 PM, but no one told me that the shuttle service stops at 5:30 PM. We arrived at the location at 5:32 PM, just two minutes after the shuttle ended. When I asked the local office staff for help, they were extremely rude and blamed the contract. The staff member said the person who checked me in should have explained it — but she was the same person who checked me in and never warned us. They advertise shuttle service, but once they get their car back, they completely abandon their customers. We were left on the street with two small kids. This is not how customers should be treated.
