UltraStar Cinemas ROCKS! We LOVED hosting our Girl Scout San Diego screening of the new Cookie Queens movie there this past weekend. Julie was SO easy to work with, the staff day of was lovely and so accommodating, and we just had a blast with our Girl Scout takeover! Thank you UltraStar team! :)

Having to change a review on a place we used love, sucks. I understand inflation but what I don’t understand. Is this place being more expensive than the franchise movie theaters like AMC or regal. We used to love this hole in the wall because it was affordable. We went today and it was the last time we’re going. The movie theater was disgusting beyond belief, and I had gotten someone because I thought maybe we gotten into the movie theater a little bit too early. A young lady went to check and she let me know all is well that they did clean it. There is no way! I went ahead and wiped our seats down and cleared a spot for us because every row was disgusting! I really hope this place goes back to what it was more family, friendly, and affordable! This place definitely has no business be more expensive than their competitors while their seats have holes in them.

Old school! No assigned seats! That grungy theater feel with comfortable seats. Seems like a bit of a hidden gem honestly. Way less people went to see "Young Washington" on the 4th so maybe that's why it was so empty/quiet? Either way I liked this theater and the employees were very polite when I spoke with them. I will return for sure.

Julie and her incredible team worked with me to provide a memorable experience for our students. We worked collaboratively to offer dinner and a movie to over 600 students and staff across 8 days and I was impressed by the organization and communication throughout the process. Beyond the logistics, the theatre was comfortable and was easy to access. Hope to continue this partnership in future years!

Went to this theater for the first time May 17th for the BFDIA 25 event, and for a locally owned theater I was pleasantly surprised! I also don’t go to theaters very often so it was fun getting to experience something new. First off I really appreciate how easily accessible it is via the Trolley, as someone who doesn’t have a license and lives close to the Trolley it made it very simple to get there. The theater does look a little dated but for a locally owned theater you can’t expect Regal or AMC quality (even though I’d much rather support local businesses). I did not try the food or drinks here as the concession stand line was insanely long when I got there and I didn’t feel like getting stuck in it 😭 The auditorium itself was actually pretty nice, seats & floors were clean, I really liked the leather recliners which were way nicer compared to another theater I went to which had cloth seats that felt like it was gonna fold in on you even if you were sitting on it. Only complaints are no assigned seating and there wasn’t any AC in the auditorium so it got a bit warm in there. Sound & picture quality were pretty good, nothing to really write home about here. And of course ge
