We purchased a single premium life insurance policy through Funerals You Way (FYW) in 2018. FWY was beneficiary. I would strongly recommend anyone purchasing a policy like this read it VERY carefully. The services were simple, tasteful and compassionate, from the time they retrieved the body through scattering at sea. It was all very professional. Our only issues were communication regarding scheduling, filing and receipt of the death certificate, and costs. Trying to pin down when we could schedule the scattering was frustrating. This was, of course dependent signing and filing of the death certificate, which had to occur before cremation. Scattering could not be scheduled until the cremation was scheduled. Actual cost was vague. We received three different breakdowns, none of them clearly detailing ALL of the costs. It seems a statement of account showing monies received (from insurance mentioned above), less actual itemized costs, and any balance due or owed should have been provided. That did not happen, putting a pall over everything else, that was so well done. Jay was compassionate and kind when we picked up the death certificate. Captain Liz Parker was very

Jay and Eliseo worked with us to provide the best possible services for my son in all aspects of his funeral. They handled all the paper work, transportation and military honor guard for his memorial and internment at Miramar National Cemetery. My family is very grateful for all the extra courtesy's that they afforded us.

Funerals Your Way was incredibly helpful and understanding. I had contacted other Funeral homes and I felt like I was being sold a car. There were no attempts at upselling or pressure. I told them what my father’s wishes and they made it happen. I highly recommend them in the time of need.

Really appreciate the great service provided under a short notice during a difficult time. We are not from San Diego and not familiar with the local process, but Dana and Jay have been really kind and helpful to walk us through what need to be done, and they have been very flexible at accommodating various requests. Eli was compassionate, patient, and incredibly supportive during one of the most difficult times our family has faced. He explained every step clearly, was always available to answer questions, and never made us feel rushed or pressured. Although we did shop around and found other places with cheaper services, we chose Funerals Your Way because Eli truly treated our family like family, not just another number. Dana with Funerals Your Way showed care and compassion with my brother’s burial, including a military ceremony with honors. He took the worry and stress off my shoulders and made the entire affair effortless. He was professional, respectful and efficient. The cost was much less than other quotes I was given.
