Manny is the absolute best maintenance technician I’ve ever had! He shows up so quick and always does a great job. I’ve never lived somewhere where they accommodate all this stuff so fast. Super nice guy as well!

From the start the process was not good. First issue, the leasing office got my email wrong somehow (it's on the application) and sent the required docs and information to the wrong email, because I didn't respond they cancelled my application (second time applying). Then the Leasing agent misrepresented my income and at first denied my application, then realized she did math wrong after denying and calling me (I had to do it for her) (third time). After actually moving in, the upstairs neighbors were truly the worst I've ever had (I'll attach a video of the noise). I sent videos to the leasing office as well as called the night hours patrol for a noise complaint, there were no repercussions because the noise continues the whole time I stayed there. Lastly, on moving out. I paid to get professional cleaning and they still charge me $250 in cleaning fees for throwing away stuff I forgot in a single kitchen cabinet (ramen packets) and $400 for paint. I wish I could add more videos to show the noise, but google limits the size and length. The best part about this building is the location, right beside Little Tokyo and in Arts District. Good area to be in.

The most responsive maintenance people of any building we've ever lived. Manny is especially kind and shockingly quick at all that he does. Truly a master of his craft.

My fiancé and I lived here for over two and a half years and only left because we had to move states for my school. We joked that if we could pick up the building and bring it with us we would. I have never enjoyed living in a building so much. The amenities were top notch, and they throw free community events all the time and even have yoga every couple weeks. But it was the maintenance staff and caretakers who really made this place special. Manny and Pedro and the rest of the maintenance team were always available, kind, and got the job done fast. And the women who keep that place clean are so nice and did such a fantastic job. They worked endlessly and the entire building was always beautiful. The office staff were always great too whenever we needed anything, and were quick to reply to any emails or get information to us. Thank you Garey Building for such a wonderful experience. We’ll miss you.
