So I’ll be very honest in this review and break down all you need to know: Valet is $70 USD, but there is a parking garage right next to the hard rock that charges $1 USD/hour, so totally worth it. They’re fairly good with check-in flexibility provided the room is ready and they will give you a welcome drink or a drink ticket that you can redeem at the bars in the hotel. The rooms are fairly good, however, they stock the fridge with their own shit so you literally have to take it out so you can put in your own stuff, which is annoying. The bar stool is also heavy as hell and the bathrooms are whatever. The light wasn’t working well on my mirror, just some minor things that need to be fixed. The location is great, right next to petco stadium and Gaslamp. There are tons of bars and restaurants if you walk down. If there is a game happening it’s pandemonium and you won’t be able to really drive around. Another thing is that if you order Uber Eats you have to go down and meet them at the door which is inconvenient but understandable for security reasons. Overall the experience was a 3/5, just okay. But San Diego is a SHITLOAD of fun! I was there for 7 days!

I had the pleasure of staying at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego from May 31 to June 3, 2026, and I would like to recognize Vivian and Mickey for providing exceptional customer service throughout my stay. From the moment I arrived, both Vivian and Mickey went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable. Their professionalism, warm hospitality, and genuine willingness to help made a lasting impression. They consistently greeted me with a smile, addressed my requests promptly, and made me feel like a valued guest. What truly stood out was their attention to detail and dedication to delivering outstanding service. Whether it was answering questions, offering recommendations, or assisting with any needs during my stay, they handled everything with efficiency and kindness. Employees like Vivian and Mickey are a true asset to the Hard Rock Hotel. Their commitment to excellence reflects the high standards of hospitality that every guest hopes to experience. Thank you both for making my stay so enjoyable. I look forward to returning and highly recommend the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego to anyone seeking exceptional service and a memorable stay.

Ive been travel8ng for 30 years . Ive been to 13 states and a hundred cities as the South West Cannabis Connoisseur. This was the most fun I've ever had at a hotel. There is a cocktail lounge, a classic diner, a fancy restaurant and of course the hard rock shop! Not only did they offer a beutifull and comfortable room but there was a social on Friday night and a swim party Saturday!!! Its hard to beat the location and that's stating it lightly. A short walk down 5 Ave to Balboa park or a short walk down harbor to seaside village. As well, the trolly stops right in front of the hotel and that can take you all over the city... that is if you even want to leave the gaslamp district! Its going to be hard to beat this visit because of the Hard Rock Hotel
