Reviews that mention noise, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and cleanliness are usually the most useful. Prices swing sharply around holidays, spring break, conventions and local events, so book early for those dates.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Pacific Terrace Hotel is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. It's not the most luxurious hotel I've been to, although it is beautiful and extremely comfortable. It's not the best location I've visited, but Pacific Beach is lovely. It was the staff that made the difference. The service was INCREDIBLE! Everyone we interacted with was friendly, courteous, helpful, and proactive! Just superb. We'll be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely polite and accommodating throughout our whole stay. Food was fantastic and room was kept very clean. We used beach chairs, toys, balls and really appreciated those as amenities for the kids. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will more than likely come back in the future.

What a special place San Diego is, and what a great stay we had in this hotel. We spent a week here and it was one of our best vacations to date. The rooms are super clean with comfortable beds, the pool is immaculate, the food is great, and the view is hard to beat. The sunsets from the balcony were gorgeous, and Iβd highly recommend splurging on a full ocean view if you can. The neighborhood is walkable with tons of great restaurants in the area. All of that said, the best thing about our stay was the service. The staff is so helpful and friendly, and they all genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs. Special shout out to Alexa, Jake, and Talon and the front desk and Kaya and Maddy at the pool. We cannot thank you guys enough for making us feel so welcome. We hope to be back for another visit soon!

We originally were going to stay at another βresortβ and discovered through reviews that the other place was going to be a disaster. Iβve had my eye on this hotel for years, it was supposed to be my honeymoon hotel back in 2020 but the world fell apart then. For my familyβs first vacation we decided to spend the extra money and book at the Pacific Terrace. It was everything I hoped and expected from a luxury hotel! We got the full ocean view room for us and our two small children. The room was super clean, beds were very comfy, large TV, and nice sized balcony. All the reviews raving about this place are true! Staff was so helpful and accommodating. I accidentally left a dress at the hotel and they were kind enough to tell me and ship it to me. Loved that they had protected garage parking also for your vehicles so you donβt have to lose sleep over it. The area is pretty saturated with homeless subjects, so the extra money is worth it. If I had to gripe about anything, I would say there was a rather large palm tree kinda blocking the view in front of our balcony. That is me being extremely picky! But we would come back in a heartbeat, this place is wonderful!
