Amazing beautiful hotel, right on the water front. The hotel is modern, elegant, full of amenities. The reason why I’m giving it only 3 stars is because of their deceiving announcements and to a certain degree, their practices. Their “Destination Charge Fee” includes a $15 credit at The Cannery, at least that’s what it says… the credit wasn’t reflected on my check out folio. But the real concern from me comes from the staff at The Cannery. I was there for a conference, went to grab a coffee and banana nut bread… I didn’t check my receipt. When I was going over my expenditures at home, I realized the staff gave themselves a $19.23 tip. At the end of the day, it’s my fault for not checking my receipts right then and there… but it also speaks volumes on the shadiness of their staff. Please note the parking fee is insane, $57 per day.

We recently stayed at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront while in town for a jazz festival, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience that met Hilton standards. The hotel is exactly as advertised, modern, clean, and comfortable. Our room had a beautiful view of the bay and event area, which made the stay especially enjoyable. The room felt welcoming and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, the linens were clean and fresh, and there was no strong industrial smell. The bathroom was spotless, and everything from closet space and hangers to the in-room TV and technology felt modern and easy to use. Service at the front desk and overall management was excellent. A small issue with breakfast was handled immediately and professionally, which we appreciated. The only concern was a brief housekeeping communication issue during a room extension, which resulted in repeated knocking despite the extension being granted. It appeared to be a workflow communication gap between the front desk and housekeeping rather than a service problem with the staff. Overall, the stay was smooth, comfortable, and well managed. First time staying and it is a beautiful resort. Will definitely stay again. Weather and location was beautiful overall. Service was wonderful by all we came in contact with, especially Jamie and Carlos at the Pool Bar Club. They were very engaged and helpful. Had a wonderful conversation with the two, enjoyed hanging out with both Jaime and Carlos as they provided exceptional service during our visit at the Pool Bar Club. My husband and I had a few drinks and a quick bite while relaxing and enjoying the view. Jamie and Carlos were very attentive to our needs. I want to give kudos to both Jamie and Carlos for making our stay exception and worth while. Thank you!

Stayed here for a few nights for a conference and loved my stay. Lobby is beautiful, rooms were spacious and nice. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and the two most important things to me are the bed quality and food - both of which were great. There are lots of conveniently located food options and it’s close to Old San Diego too. My room had a gorgeous view of the bay and I felt like a king while I was there. Would absolutely go again if in the area!
